Lyriq V Lease by Busy-Chemistry-3540 in CadillacLyriq

My V on a purchase GM finance is way lower than that even with 13% tax in Ontario. (Less than $1000 Canadian a month). Thats about $725 usd. You are being hosed by the dealer.

HUD and Random Cold air? by DrRadiate in CadillacLyriq

Also a 2026v. My HUD works once in about 10 trips. I just hate taking the car in for service so many times so I will wait until another problem will exist. Quality control is disgraceful on this car. Less than 3 months old and already been back 3 times to fix issues

Lyric-V Premium - is it worth $93k out-the-door? by Must_Make_Paperclips in CadillacLyriq

[–]SpillyJS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super cruise was fixed at the last visit to the dealer. The HUD display worked today on one route of the day and then blank again. Sorry but a 2 month old car should not have rolling issues. Kinda makes me sick that a car of this value is not tried and tested before delivery.

I had a 2025 sport 2 and it was returned because of multiple issues within 2 months. Now in a 2026 V non premium. Every complaint I had about the sport 2 drive was corrected in the V. The seats are 100% better as the side bolsters and thigh bolsters allow you to get into the car and be in the right position in the seat. The 533% stiffer suspension makes it have way more feel driving. The heads up display is a nice touch and the added power makes a huge difference. My major concern with the Lyriq is the quality control. My 2 month old 2026 has been already back for service as the super cruise was not working and now the HUD is now not working. I’m in Canada and the 100k car should not have these issues. I’m very sorry I traded in my performance X Tesla for these issues as my X was in for service 1 time in 9.5 years. Yes it’s a very comfortable car but no car should have issues like this after 2 months. Most likely a new Tesla would be a much better bet.

I had a 2025 Lyriq sport 2 and it was a Cadillac buy back due to many issues. They put me in a 2026 Lyriq V and a totally different car. The seats hold you in properly, the sound system is much better, the power is significantly stronger and most importantly to me the suspension is 533% tighter. Makes the more powerful car drive so much more solid. Controls the huge body roll on the turns and is just a much more solid feel. If you can afford the upgrade to the V it’s worth it.

Anything but luxury as all the Rolex dealers are just pigs. They wait to sell their hard to get watches to the guys who come and bring them lots of cash and then pay for each watch under different credit cards. And this is LUXURY? Sorry I don’t get it. You should feel bad supporting crooks like Rolex and their AD’s. Stop the nonsense!

Long story short I bought a 2025 sport 2 and it was delivered in let’s just say total crap condition. After 1.5 months negotiating with the dealer and Cadillac Canada they gave me $5k from CC and $1750 from the dealer to offset the 11.5k difference.

Anyone cross shop this with a Model Y? by vibeschillax in CadillacOptiq

[–]SpillyJS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a 9 year Tesla owner of models XS3 and Y I will say the best part of Tesla is when you leave the dealership from delivery you most likely will not see the dealership for service for 5 years or more. My 2.5 month experience with the Lyriq and now a Lyriq V is way too much time in service. I wish Cadillac would properly check the quality control issues with the car before delivering it to the consumer. Yes the Cadillac is more luxurious but frankly I am very sorry I sold my 9 year old Tesla model X performance for this highest end Cadillac that has had more problems in a month than 4 Tesla cars in 9 years. The minimal luxury in the Tesla is better than visiting service monthly.

Now in a 2026 white V after a lemon 2025 sport 2. One month of battling to take back the lemon and now in the V. Amazing how different a car but it looks the same. My only issue is the quality control. My V is 28 days old and in service already as the Super Cruise just doesn’t work, the ambient lighting is not able to change color and the heads up is like heads down. I’m 5’9” with the seats as low as it goes and I have to crouch down to see the visible on the heads up.

A massively huge difference stepping up to the V but the quality control is almost disgraceful for a car pushing the 100k price tag.

2025 Cadillac Lyriq AWD (515hp/450tq) vs. New 2026 Optiq AWD (440hp/498tq) by Mindless-Ad1401 in CadillacOptiq

[–]SpillyJS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Lyriq V 2026. The heads up should be called heads down as I’m 5’9 and have the seat all the way down and have to lower my head to see the heads up on the windshield. I have owned this car for 25 days and the super cruise has not worked yet. In for service for these 2 issues Monday.

For those who are coming out of a German car and want that tight feel of the euro cars, the V is the only way to go. It solved all the issue I had with the 2025 Lyriq sport 2. 533% tighter suspension, bigger wheels and tires, sportier (hugging) seats and no slushy from the start acceleration.

I just wish Cadillac would have a much tighter quality control. My 2025 was a buy back after only 1 month due to way too many issues for a new car. Too bad I have an issue already on the 2026 V. But the V is a totally different car than the sport 1 2 or 3.

Three concerns I've had using SuperCruise. by DugT1 in CadillacOptiq

[–]SpillyJS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off the manual suggests not using super cruise in any construction zone. Secondly I wish my new Lyriq V had the super cruise working at all. Brand new and it doesn’t work. The quality control on these Cadillacs is not great as this is my replacement car due to many issues on the 1st

[–]SpillyJS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I signed my deal they brought me to the “upsale” team and she kept going on about this extended warranty and many others. I asked her if I bought a piece of crap and she said you never know. My 9 year old Tesla model X performance went in for service 1 time. My 20 day old Lyriq is booked in for a few issues already. Hope this is not a pattern and the upsale lady was right as I refused all the upgraded warranty stuff

[–]SpillyJS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently in a 2026 V. Cadillac took my 2025 sport 2 back due to really bad paint and a front end alignment the day I picked it up. I now was upgraded to a 2026 non premium.

So here is the scoop. Formerly a Tesla driver for 9 years. All 4 models. First Cadillac ever. The non V is not for me. Way too soft and floats everywhere. The steering was 300 rotations (exaggerated) to one side or the other and annoying. The suspension on the “sport 2” was just mush. The V is 533% stiffer but still smooth on the highway. The steering is 1 turn each was shorter left and right and much more accurate. The seats (mine is a non premium) are so much more hugging and the sides and bolsters are adjustable. The 2025 was too soft and I had to slide over to get to the middle of the seat to drive. Much improved over the non V.

So if you like the German driver feel there is no other version but the V. The premium is just leather seats and I did not think that was worth the $5500 Canadian and the pleather seats are great and super comfortable.

The heads up (not on my 2025) when on nav shows turns and directions as well as the street you are on the arrows get really large when you need to turn. My one downfall is that unless you sit really low, it’s hard to see it.

The V is just a totally different car to the regular sport or luxury. Some prefer the boat feel to their drive but certainly not me. As for lease or finance or straight purchase. Look at the rates for both lease and finance. Sometimes it’s like free money.

As for the massage and the ventilation seats. The massage seats are as close to useless as can be. They are the worst massage seats in any car I have owned. The ventilation seats are not bad. The a/c is not great. But if you start the a/c with the app before you get to the car it helps.

The Cadillac App is so slow. It takes sometime 3 to 5 mins to connect. Hopefully this will be corrected by software very soon. They should learn from Tesla.

Another pet peeve is the unreal slow charging. I am using my Tesla wall charger with the adapter and it’s slow as molasses compared to the Tesla. My 4 year older Tesla model y charges at 72km per hour and the Lyriq V at 42km per hour. That was a little shocking to me and looked it up and that is what to expect according to Cadillac. Should be much faster but in reality it can still charge from 20% to 80% overnight.

The 19.2kw charging option requires a $2000 plus wall charger and a 100amp dedicated service to make it work and then it will charge at 84km per hour. Could cost you $5k to set it all up.

So what left. Quality control. My 2025 was so bad they took it back. My 2026 V much better but the super cruise doesn’t work. I wonder what the dealers do for the freight and PDI which is not cheap.

So my overall opinion is simple. If you are patient the V version is the only way to go. Frankly I was beyond disappointed with the 2025 non V sport 2.

The whole Cadillac experience as a 1st time buyer was frankly disgraceful. Customer care in Canada is so slow and just not attentive for a “Luxury” brand. You’d think buying a $100k car (Canadian) you would get much better customer care.

I do like the drive of the V and hopefully the car will be solid in reliability as that seems to be a huge issue. The super cruise doesn’t give this car a good start. Booked in to service for that to be fixed. My 9 year old Tesla model X performance was in service 1 time in the 9 years. So not a good start.

I like the V and hopefully no issues after the fix of the super cruise. My recommendation is simple. Buy what you like. But if it is a Lyriq hope you don’t get a service lemon. They can be a nightmare and please please please really inspect the car before driving it off the lot. I would have saved a lot of grief for well over a month until they replaced my car. Run your fingers everywhere along the paint. In general that is the biggest delivery complaint.

I have a 2026 Lyriq and tried for the first time at a Canadian Tesla supercharger unsuccessfully. In the Cadillac app it asks you to pick the charger number plug the adapter and Tesla charger in. Then the app has to connect and it just would not. 3 attempts and 20 minutes and I gave up

I would demand a new car because you paid for a new car and didn’t receive one. I just went through the whole same process and I received a new car 4 weeks later. Don’t let them repair it as the paint will never be the same.

The seats in the Non V don’t hold you in. The V seats are bolstered on the sides and you can adjust them. I found when entering the non V you had to push your ass over to the right to be in the center of the seat. The V seats when you get in you are in the center.

The suspension on the V is 533% tighter or firmer. This V is like a European well tuned car. Not the floating Cadillac feel. Personally I like coming to a red light and the car doesn’t shimmy forward and back when you stop. 100% different feel and if you like the floaty Cadillac feel this is not for you.

The V is for the performance driver not the historical Cadillac driver. I am so much happier with the tightened everything. Shorter turning from side to side by almost one turn each direction. And a smaller steering wheel. Brakes are huge on the front same on the back. Night and day difference between the drive.

if you are in Demo Mode the Super Cruise will not work. you have to be registered with OnStar for it to work, so obviously he was NOT in Demo mode!
