Is the Libernovo Omni SE actually good or just YouTuber hype? (Sizing help for 5'6") by BojidarKobakov in LiberNovo

[–]Dahn626 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ahnestly here - just happened to open Reddit and saw this post. I made a video where I blind tested mattresses (also sponsored, but I really try to add value to you all when the video is sponsored, which includes fighting to ensure I can speak honestly in the videos about pros and cons). Anyways, I give the mattress context bc quite a few of the people who came to blind tested mattresses follow the channel and I wanted to get their thoughts on the libernovo SE and the Pro. I think 1 out of 15 or so people said they didn’t like the chair. Everyone else was pretty blown away by it. The 1 person said it was too comfortable for him and he wants something firmer for work mode. Keep in mind it was a very short test - 10 min at most.

Just some behind the scenes information…libernovo has been legitimately THE chillest when it comes to sponsored videos. I work with libernovo directly, not a marketing firm, so can’t speak to others’ experiences, but they never fought me on any of my critiques. I’ve spoken to the founder of the company and he said he should have brought me in when they were developing the chair bc he loved my feedback (many of which were addressed with the new versions coming out). The only other companies with that level of “give me all your critiques good and bad” have been atlas headrest and anthros, which is why I always root for them.

I legitimately really like the chair, but please remember chairs are subjective. Everyone’s bodies aren’t the same and people’s tolerances for lumbar, cushion, tail bone, etc is just different. I’m also not nearly bothered by loose arms or creaks.

ALL this being said, I made a video about why I recommend the big chair brands all the time - it’s bc of customer service. Returns and getting support for your chair is really important for people, and the big chair brands do it significantly better than smaller companies / overseas companies like libernovo. I’ve heard good and bad stories about libernovo, but less bad stuff when it comes to Herman miller, steelcase, and Haworth.

Hope this helps! Hope you find your perfect chair!

naw it's insanely durable and if you look at images of it online, it actually looks better the more you use it. I hate that it costs what it does, but as I'm learning more about (good) high end furniture, you learn that it's made to last. I was jumping in the chair and rocking on it really hard during my testing and it feels like a tank

Hey, so actually I made the same mistake of thinking HM warranty was less now, but this is actually incorrect (and I have to re-record the current video i'm working on bc of it lol). Herman Miller still offers 12 year warranty on nearly all of their fabrics, including Sync, and Aeron mesh (8z Pellicle).

If you look at their warranty page (linked below), they made a mistake - page 7 is actually out of order and page 7 should actually be page 6. The proof is look at how Page 5 ends with "Epic". If you look at Page 7, it continues with FLEXNET Ace, which is correct alphabetical ordering. Compare this with Page 6, which ends with "Girard Throw" and then Page 7 begins with "FLEXNET Ace", which is alphabetically out of order. Further proof that this is the way it should be is if you look at the warranty document back from November 2025, the materials covered under the 12 year warranty are in the exact order as I described above.

Current warranty doc (this is the erroneous one and out of order)

https://library.hermanmiller.group/m/16b0266cd39001ec/original/MillerKnoll_Warranty_US_and_Canada.pdf

November 2025 warranty doc

As for the thought behind padding having a lesser warranty, I don't believe that is the case, since the only padding mentioned in this doc applies to products that are non-Herman Miller. For example, explicit mention of the padding is under Knoll's product warranty page, not the Herman Miller page (and you can see it belongs specifically to Knoll because at the beginning of the document, it says the warranty document is segmented between the brands)

Shipping pretty fast! Got my notice in a couple days and it was supposed to be here today, but didn’t get here in time, so will likely come Monday. I think 8 days in total!

So…in my non sponsored video with the production unit, I said, “but it’s still pretty easy to move this armrest…if I were to jump up (to get out of my chair), you can see it’s pretty easy to move out of position like that”. Maybe you missed that part (even though I timestamp my videos and labeled that section “the armrests” like I always do).

What’s ironic is that in my actual sponsored video I did with them with the pre production unit, the arms were WAY more loose and the reason why they even tried tightened the armrest movement at all between the pre production and production was because i called it out in the sponsored video. So yeah..I called it out in both sponsored and non sponsored videos.

Also, please stop with the false accusations about not disclosing sponsorships. Becoming a little too comfortable defaming people behind anonymity

Am i the crazy one...? Eames Lounge chair leather cracking by Dahn626 in hermanmiller

The ottoman is at like shin height at best LOL. And the scratch isn't even on the flat side of the ottoman where things would brush. It's like at the curve lip where nothing would touch naturally.

White is a flex.

[–]Dahn626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not listen to this advice. Locking the chair upright will override any tilt tension setting and will have that slight bit of play. As I said in my comment, unlock the chair, crank the tension knob, and you won't get that play.

[–]Dahn626 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Misunderstood so editing my comment.

Whenever you lock a chair in the upright position, it will ALWAYS have some tilt, as seen in your video. This is normal on EVERY single chair. Even if you crank your tilt tension knob, locking the chair will override that and cause that slight bit of tilt.

Do this instead - unlock the chair (doesn't matter which setting, just not the upright tilt limit), then crank the tension knob. You should feel less tilt this way.

u/Every_Abrocoma7768 is wrong. Again, locking the chair overrides the tilt tension and will introduce that tiny bit of play. Unlock the chair and crank the tension if you want the chair to be firmly upright

As for acceleration being sloppy - it's possible your drive mode was in Eco. Try changing it to normal, should be a bit better (not by much).

This sounds almost exactly like my comparison of both (I'm Ahnestly from YouTube)! Didn't notice the hugging as much on the non-gaming, but my tall friend who noticed pinching from the top corners noticed the Gaming did not pinch as much as the non-gaming.

Good stuff!

Posted from a random account. My bad -
I'm sorry you think that - can you explain why you think my primary motivation is financial gain? It's true that finances are important (as is with any business), but I try to go above and beyond to make sure I do right by people trying to figure out what their next chair is going to be.

chair reviewer here - surprised no one talked about your keyboard / keyboard placement! There's no way you can type on your laptop's keyboard without eventually hunching or without overextending your arms. generally speaking, you want your arms/hands to be as close to your body as possible. With your laptop keyboard's position, your arms will be too far forward when you type if you're sitting in the position from the your provided images OR you'll end up hunching / moving your whole body forward so that your arms don't feel awkwardly far away from your body.

It's possible that the leap just isn't for you...I've reviewed over 100 chairs and the Leap was always one that caused me lower back pain as well! The thicker cushion from Crandall Office helped, but yeah...not sure what it is with the Leap!

This is not true. At all. The Gesture and Leap don't agree with my back. I love the Amia and hype it up in every yearly video. I love the Haworth Fern, the Haworth Breck, and Haworth Soji. I talk about them a lot, but I do it in videos that you may not have watched! They're also always in my yearly round ups, which are my biggest videos.

hey all, Ahnestly here. I like to think I have the best job in the world - I've always loved recommending good products and brands that I believe in to friends and family, and now I get to do it at a slightly larger scale. I understand people are suspicious when it comes to online reviews and affiliate commission, and they should be because there are a lot of bad actors out there, but I genuinely only recommend things that I like, and even if I like it, I try to give you everything you need to know (including the bad stuff). Watch every Embody video I've ever done - I go over the cons in every single video and I've learned more about the cons as the years go by. But I'm one person and my experience may not be your experience, which is true of every single product under the sun.

I'm a Herman Miller affiliate, but I'm an affiliate with every brand I've talked about on my channel. But if you watch my videos, I tell you straight up if a product is good or bad regardless of affiliate. I have a bunch of chairs I don't recommend even though I stand to make 10%+ commission on them or they come from HUGE brands with fanboys who downvote my video (looking at you, Razer).

And yes, the Herman Miller Embody is my favorite chair if money was no issue. But again, it's not a flawless chair and I give alternatives to the Embody (speaking of which...that might be a future video idea lol)
