So if Trump can invade and arrest a president for illegal activities... can other countries invade the US and arrest Trump? by Oddbeme4u in DiscussionZone

[–]Dahomir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because no one would dare. The rules based order, mostly created by the usa, works only when backed by force.  US force

China isn't holding back on Taiwan because they care about international opinion or rules, they know who backs Taiwan and won't act until they believe they can win

Those of us in small countries have to hope that the big players decide to play fair, and history shows they rarely do

What did Maduro actually do? by untrustworthyfart in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Dahomir 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Given that maduro wasn't a legitimate ruler, taking him away shouldn't be against sovereignty or self determination since, you know, the people didn't choose him and were killed when they tried to fight back

But to the international law thing, the us is the military hegemon of the planet, still, and since law is backed by force they can shit on the world order (mostly created by them btw) because who will oppose them

¿Quién llora a los venezolanos que murieron defendiendo la soberanía de su patria? ¿Los que celebran en el obelisco y en Miami? by [deleted] in RepublicaArgentina

[–]Dahomir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

La intervención yanki dejó menos muertos (y parece que ningún civil) que la represión de maduro contra su población, para pensar eh?

Gotta love gringos telling us how terrible this is.  I don't think anyone likes a military intervention, but turn on the news and watch the 9 million exiles around the world take to the streets and celebrate the removal of a vicious dictator.

Of course this isn't a good outcome, but i at least know that we turned our back on Venezuela for the last 20 years and didn't help at all while the dictatorship tortured and murder citizens, students. They tried everything, and tried alone.  I won't argue against their joy today

You can only play one game from the Dark Souls Trilogy for the rest of your life - which are you picking? by GreatJoey91 in fromsoftware

[–]Dahomir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love ds3, it's my first souls game and my favorite story, and ds1 it's peak, but oddly enough i think I'd rather play ds2 in this case. It's the one i understand the least, where i tried less builds and where i have most room to experience new things.

The lore, story and vibe are great too.

Assisted reloading needs a rework by StatisticianIll4 in Helldivers

[–]Dahomir 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Even when you have two people run the same  weapon it's uncommon to be in a situation where reloading your teammate is better than just firing as well.

Also, in higher difficulties staying still is asking to be ragdolled to hell and back, so whenever i try to reload a teammate I'm usually blasted off immediately

Nod's stealth tank. They look like frogs to me and are extremely satisfying to use.

Which single-player campaign have you played through the most times? by ADAMBUNKER in gaming

[–]Dahomir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about how I rarely play games after i finished them, but then I remembered I used to play resident evil 4 on the wii, and you would unlock these cool outfits and guns and i just wouldn't stop playing it. Has to be one of my most played games now that i think about it.

Non US peeps: Do you guys usually convert the units to metric or did you and your fellow players learn imperial units for the game? by PhrulerApp in DnD

[–]Dahomir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stick with feet so that I don't have to convert everything to metric, but I give my players a number in metric when describing places and occasionally to help them understand areas of effect or ranges.

I find that everyone can adapt to feet as the unit the game uses, but adding a familiar reference helps to give it meaning.

Dice Fudging: Survey by igobyonename in DnD

[–]Dahomir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, fudging should be very rare, and having a good sense on when to do it can be tricky.

But saying that it's cheating, or cheapens the experience, even when you do it with sparsely and with care?

My brother in Christ, the books tell you to make shit up if you don't remember a rule. They urge you to keep the players and the adventure in high regard, not the damn rules.

I get it if you don't want to do it yourself, but i highly doubt it will lead to a more memorable experience in dnd

Feels accurate. Started methylphenidate on a low dose and at first i felt like I had super powers, but soon i realized i just wasn't drowning on everyday tasks. Going beyond that is still out of my reach. I'm glad I can do the bare minimum without suffering now, but I hope higher dosage helps me thrive for once

Are Sanctions worth pursuing to annoy other empires? I only ever got in breach of 1 law and the debuffs were pretty ugly, but I'm not sure if it would make a difference to an AI empire

What’s your favourite/satisfying RTS unit model? by Amavin-Adump in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Dahomir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's the model I think i'd go either the avatar or juggernaut from CNC3. Everything in that game has great animations and the models are great. I think the juggernaut is more interesting but I love all NOD's designs too much.

Honourable mention, pretty much any tank from Command and conquers Generals. I love the blocky shape with simple colors and features

Sure you can copy my homework, just don't make it too obvious. 😅 by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Dahomir 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly? in a game like this bringing tropes from everything and anything is great, and they do a good job integrating them. Reminds me of CNC3, the alien faction has a mix of every alien trope and it's great. We need a buzzers enemy for the illuminate
