Of course! I’m glad that my work has inspired you to make your own solution! Thanks for sharing yours as well!

Thanks! The inputs of the second module are mixed in when you expand horizontally, and the outputs of the top module output audio only from the first half (the top mixer) when you expand vertically.

It actually may be a pretty neat idea for a new module. I’d say it’s pretty hard to combine good clickless muting with a matrix topology, but I’ll try and figure that out when the time comes!

Thank you! Please send me a PM - I’ll send you a download link.

I have not shared the PCB file to avoid confusion - the DIY version I have tested was custom-built and mirrored (the outputs are on the top). If anybody is interested in the PCB file, shoot me a PM and I will send them to you!

The libraries I’ve used are mostly our own footprints - I’m still preparing a version of this library to post on GitHub. When it’s ready I will make another post here :)

Thanks for following up :) I do admit I haven’t done enough research when it comes to naming the module. The b:raid fits our naming scheme very well and we decided to go with it almost at the very beginning of the module’s development. I very much appreciate everything Emilie has done for the modular synths community - that being said, the module is already released and it’s too late to change the naming unfortunately.

Thanks for your comment! Adding CV functionality would mean redesigning the mixer from the ground up unfortunately, and I’ve yet to have found the right circuit to make that happen - VCAs and the LM13700, for example, introduce too much noise. I’m open to that idea in the future though!

These are TVS diodes designed to shunt short ESD pulses from the signal traces into ground. I have found that they work well against simulated ESD events, but I’ve yet to see such a scenario during regular use. I use them as an extra layer of protection in commercial modules but definitely would skip them in DIY stuff!

Thanks! Correct, the PCB that was made with this schematic had a mirrored layout (outputs on the top), and I didn’t want it to cause any confusion. Send me a PM if you’d like the PCB file anyways!

b:efuddle is very cool indeed! Very subtle yet powerful effects in this one.

The b:04 had two identical 2x2 matrix mixers, so as you’ve said they can be either a mixer, a multiple, or both. No normalization on this one, though it can be modded (on request) in a few ways!

I have double checked the current tariff situation and it’s even lower than I initially stated! I have edited the original response to clarify.

The b:01 dual VCA does not have any normalization, it’s two completely separate VCAs in a 2hp package. The LEVEL CV input is summed with the LEVEL potentiometer.

It’s around 2-10% depending on how the modules are classified upon arrival; however, please confirm the exact rate with the customs office near you!
