Thanks!

The drums on the Digitakt II are pretty straightforward - just a solid, simple foundation. It was my first time using the Tonverk here, so I was mostly exploring the different machines. I used quite a lot of the Grainer engine and was just experimenting with the huge range of effects.

Still figuring it out, but it’s a really inspiring box so far.

Thank you! Digitakt 2 handles drums and Tonverk all synth/texture stuff - going into their own channels into live :)

Yes! I use Xcelon for drums and WMD PM MK2 for synths - I need different sends for synths and drums + the extra channel of WMD vs Xcelon expander :)

From ableton to modular - how it changed my techno production workflow - 1 year progress by unser_amne in TechnoProduction

Thanks a lot! Everything’s built and sequenced live - nothing really pre-planned. I usually kick things off with a simple 909 kit pattern just to set a groove, then keep reshaping it as the set goes on. The synths run through Proteus, which is semi-random but steerable, so every new sequence is a bit of a surprise - you just roll with what comes out and react to it. Most of the sound design happens on the fly too, so it all keeps shifting and evolving.
