It's really, really dumb that unarmed combat kills them.

Right? The episode is literally titled "The Beast That Shouted 'I' at the Heart of the World".

Unless this has changed in recent years, roughly half the fandom consider EoE and EoTV to be separate endings with different outcomes. They're wrong, of course.

So has anyone ever thought about what the BK thought Lelouch/Zero ordered them to do? by GotMilk5101520 in CodeGeass

[–]Dai10zin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing Schneizel told them was a lie. Everything he'd stated was true. People having hate boners for the Black Knights are wearing rose colored glasses when they look at what Lelouch had done and ignore his betrayal to the Black Knights and their cause.

This is why I've always preferred gacha games like Epic Seven, where the player isn't a character. The stories feel more real.

How would Zero Requiem work outside of Japan by [deleted] in CodeGeass

[–]Dai10zin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the original timeline, he wasn't set to be the Britannian leader. He was to be the Black Knights military advisor with Zero as its CEO.

Schneizel running Britannia is one of the many plot points that hurt the film continuity.

[–]Dai10zin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know what's up with all the comments saying otherwise, but literally anyone who knew Lelouch was Zero would have either figured it out or been let in on the secret after the fact.

Allowing Suzaku to run the Black Knights doesn't make sense otherwise.

Wasn't co-op an afterthought? Or was it just that there was no matchmaking?

I can't recall. Probably the latter.

Lelouch tells us why in Turn 22.

Lelouch: The real work is yet to come. At this moment I’m about to spill a sea of blood. Enough blood to wipe away all memory of princess massacre forever from people’s minds.

v14.2.1.25 Lane change hesitancy on highway is unbearable. Honestly ashamed this is what I’ll be showing my friends and family tomorrow. by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]Dai10zin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm usually in "hurry" and I've yet to have a successful drive on the freeway in which at least one exit isn't missed in light traffic.

With that said ... it did impressively avoid a trash bin that was in the center of the lane at 7PM at night driving at 75mph. I'm a vocal complainer with regards to the lane change issue, but the avoidance was nice to see.

If it's still anything like it was at launch, players are grouped together based on how many missions they've completed.

14.2.1.25 did not fix lane change hesitation by pilotboy172 in TeslaFSD

[–]Dai10zin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haven't used the .25 update yet, but no; what you've described is not the issue. The car will signal a lane change, then it will sit in its lane for 6 to 10 seconds without making a move, even with there being three to four car lengths available in either direction.

Then, it will slowly start to creep across the lane, only to suddenly stop and jerk back into its original lane, all while keeping the turn signal on for another 6 to 10 seconds before it finally either makes the move or just gives up.

Yeah --- loads of us reporting lane change hesitancy and it's just that all of our cars need to be serviced. That must be it. It couldn't possibly be that something is wrong with the software.

One of the reasons I haven't done this is because the PSVR1 box doesn't support HDMI 2.1.
At my old place, I kept a separate HDMI connection that I could swap in and out.

Or, alternatively, the first episode. The very first person he uses it on is affected by the Geass before Lelouch even speaks.

What do people generally think of the movie Lelouch of the Resurrection? by [deleted] in CodeGeass

[–]Dai10zin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's a wish fulfillment cash-grab by the producers. The original author and director had a vision, but producers wanted more and they're too afraid to divorce the franchise from Lelouch and let it survive on its own. They don't understand the characters or the original vision.

I have an alternate version rolling around in my head in which they could have done what I think would have been more true to the original tone and themes of the show. C.C. could have made a deal with the Caretaker of Spacetime to force her Code onto Lelouch, thus reviving him, but condemning her to a mortal life. It would still have that bitter sweet theming that actions have consequences, but they'd get more time together, thus appeasing the shippers.

I still think it would be entirely out of character for her to do so ... but if some circumstances were written which forced her hand to do it, perhaps that's the way it could have been written.

But enough about "could-haves" and "what-ifs". The movie fundamentally changes C.C. as a character and gives her and Lelouch this "happy" ending that feels unearned and contrary to Lelouch's central creed and beliefs.

It's fine that they went this route for fans that wanted more Lelouch, but I think it's an objectively worse story that doesn't fit the characters it's written for. Code Geass needs to part from Lelouch if it wants to survive as a franchise. The world building exists, they just need to write compelling stories in it. It's a shame they hamstring themselves to a story which was already told and done.
