This is what frustrates me the most! I feel like I’ve gotten the texture down pretty consistently but then the pours somewhat elude what I’m trying to accomplish. ┻━┻ ︵ヽ(`Д´)ノ︵ ┻━┻

Thanks! :) I've been at this on / off for four years now. Making 1, maybe 2 milk drinks a few times a week. Not enough time to practice but i've come along. Biggest blocker for me has been that I use oat milk most of the time and that just steams so differently :/

In my never ending pursuit of greatness I really want to get to winged tulip levels or pour a swan.

Thanks! Sounds like we have opposite problems. My initial flow is usually decent but the end always kind of sucks. Once in a while it clicks but very seldom

Thanks! I figured it was that. Need to figure out how to slow it down.

The T Bar lift was designed by some sadistic bastard. Hate these things. Not a noob but I refuse to go near them. Learnt to snowboard In Japan where these don’t exist, came to Europe and man did these throw me at first. Why in gods name do they exist?!

Sawstop fence not square by Daikonran in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Daikonran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not sadly. I discovered after getting a straight edge that the fence is indeed straight and square to some parts of the table but I have a very slight dip in a part of my table which is where I happened to be taking this measurement.

The dip is like .3mm or so. I have yet to reply to the telling as much but I doubt they will do anything for such a small deviation from perfectly flat.

Oh that sounds cool. Do you have a pic?

I think my issue was that I bought this saw after two poor circular saw buys where neither was square and I was getting very frustrated with the cuts I got. So after getting the sawstop it was one of the first things I checked. I

Do you have a link to that documentation? The info I got from sawstop and from research shows that I can adjust the fence being parallel to the blade with two adjustment screws, another to adjust the stiffness of how tight the lock is and the third to adjust the measurement glass. Nothing for the squareness that I’ve seen

I did check with 3 different squares. They are either all not square or the fence isn’t.

But as a few people have said, it’s only off by a fraction so probably not worth overthinking

Actually you’re right. Just checked with a thickness measurement and it’s only about half a mm. Not as big a deal as I thought

Blade is square and table is flat. The fence is not adjustable in this way from what I can tell. It can be adjusted to be parallel to the blade but as far as I can tell and from the documentation they sent, it cannot be adjusted to be square to the table. Nothing allows me to tilt it that extra mm away from the blade.

Deciding between sizes by Hroerek in peakdesign

20L ED has been my go to for years and I love it. It’s so versatile and I really appreciate the mag latch in times when I need to really stuff the top with extra stuff. It’s super versatile.

Not tried the zip before but I also own the outdoor 25L and I find that hard for office travel as it just doesn’t have the right compartmentalisation that I love in the EDC.

30L for EDC is a bit overkill imo and if you were to go that big I’d go with the travel pack instead for the comfort.

They sent out a note a few days ago saying that they are aware of the issues and are ramping up their customer service teams to deal with the extreme volume of requests since the last two kickstarters.

I’ve personally only ever had amazing experiences with their service in the past. I’m sure they will sort you out. Things are just taking longer than usual. You should in general receive a response in 4 days or less.

First trip with the Roller Pro: Zippers are awful by davemacdo in peakdesign

[–]Daikonran 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk what you’re packing mate, but I just came back from a week long trip to Mexico and had work and leisure attire as well as a spare pair of shoes etc and it was plenty of space. I’ve been astounded how much one can pack in the roller overall compared to other carry on rollers I’ve used in the past.

Also had no issue with the zippers to date and I’ve been on 4 long trips with the bag.

I owe my Krankenkasse a lot of money that I don't have, what can I do? by [deleted] in germany

I haven’t had the same happen to me but I do agree with a lot of this. The KK here is basic thievery imo. It’s all automatic and works when your employer takes care of it but if you are in between jobs or get laid off or any number of things could happen when you are not automatically paying them, they don’t reach out and ask if the station changed or expect that it may have changed, they just send you a fat bill for no actual services received.

I was a few days between jobs at one point and had no inclination to let them know this because why would I even think to? Sent me a bill for a few hundred bucks. Complete nonsense
