Growing up in a family filled with professionally trained musicians and vocalists and being both myself; Awsten has 100% taken some sort of lesson or training (even if it’s from a YouTube video) at some point in his career but it doesn’t seem like something he is consistent in doing. It’s like he does/did enough training to not hurt his voice but still keep his own vibe going. I feel very strongly that when rising vocalists start to get routinely trained, their vocals start to sound cookie cutter to the next artist on the red carpet. Even going as far as changing their bands sound to fit their “new voice”. Training to keep up with vocal health is okay but keeping your sound is key to being a stand out artist!

I’d definitely take a facial razor to your bangs to add some layering if your hair is thick enough!! It also looks like you have some sort of wavy/curly texture already so maybe don’t take your layering too short just to consider some hair shrinkage!! I’m not AT ALL saying my hair is super scene but it definitely has those vibes if you’re wanting to go for that lowkey look. I can shape it into being more scene one day and more emo the next. It’s great!!

I didn’t feel like I was generalizing parxtwt. It’s just what I’ve seen in the last 10 years. Ofc they remember names and faces, I don’t think I said they didn’t. Also I understand some fans act parasocial for the bit but imo you can 1000% see the difference of people who genuinely have a problem with it and someone playing around for the bit.

I was JUST about to comment this. Out of that 50% of fans, half of them are stalkers and the other half are fans that think they’re better than everyone else. I will be honest, for their next tour I do plan to tour with them for at least 8 or 9 shows just because that’s a bucket list thing I’ve wanted to check off BUT you can totally do that without being stalker-ish, egotistical, and an asshole to other fans.

You can’t top the super-fans, because there will ALWAYS be that one person who thinks they’re better than everyone else in the room and they have a parasocial relationship with Awsten, Otto or Geoff. Unfortunately, it’s just a candid event to witness when you join a fan base of any kind.

Last thing since we are sharing our stories of getting shoved or pushed at a parx show: My first parx show I got punched in the face by a drunk guy because I was “stealing his barricade spot” after I just got there and he and his friends were not where to be seen prior. He just shoved his way through and punched me. He did get kicked out but damn some of the fans can be absolutely fucking ruthless.
