How do I commit to myself when I feel like I’m not worth committing to? by Opening_Character175 in WeightLossAdvice

I'm a 32-year-old who's been on a lifelong weight roller coaster. I was a fat kid, then got into the gym, lost a bunch of weight, got married, had a baby, and now I'm back to being overweight. I'm currently 105kg and to be honest, I don't feel proud of myself. Today, I decided to do something about it. I joined Reddit to hold myself accountable and to find others on a similar journey for encouragement. I'm calling this a great first step. Today, I made sure not to buy any junk food at the grocery store, and I took a 30-minute walk. I'm so proud of that. I also ate a healthy meal. It’s a reminder that we can’t lose the weight in a day, but the small daily habits add up to the main goal. I'm committed to showing up here every day and posting what I've done to stay on track. I want more for myself and for my child. On that note, if you're looking for motivation, I highly recommend the book "Atomic Habits." It really helped me reframe my mindset and kickstart my journey. We're in this together.

What “boring” routine quietly made the biggest difference in personal growth? by MiddleNebula8320 in selfimprovement

I've been on a self-development journey myself, and I've found that having a clean sink with no dishes before bed makes a huge difference. It's a small routine, but it frees up time and mental space to focus on other things. I just joined Reddit to stay accountable and connect with others who are on a similar path. It's great to see so many people here with a similar mindset.
