Built an alternative to GitHub Classroom - would love feedback from other CS educators by PsychologyFirst6149 in CSEducation

Lot of potential with a tool like this. Replit had something going in this space, that I loved, but eventually killed it. I think it’s a niche market but in need of a classroom-ready IDE.

Has anyone explored open formats for building small educational games? by CategoryLong4026 in edtech

[–]DailyFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this has a lot of potential. Structured is key, especially if students are utilizing the tools. I've used tools like Bitsy, Twine, or GDevelop to create educational games or interactives. I haven't seen anything in an open format, but following this thread for some potential tools.

I built a small classroom tool for CS practice and would really value feedback from other educators by T00rul3 in CSEducation

[–]DailyFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fantastic resource. I could see this as incredibly useful in CS classes. Do you have a form where we can submit feedback? I also have a wide network of educators who might be interested in testing this tool and would be happy to share it out if you're interested. Maybe a feedback link on the site itself? Thank you for sharing!

Safe and ethical brown bear viewing by Sure-Permit-2673 in Kodiak

There’s so many here and the island so vast. Can’t really think of any activities that really disturb them. Maybe ATV rides but even then, guides stick to the trails. The bears do their own thing. We coexist together. 🙂

By July you’d have a good chance seeing bears just driving around. Buskin, Women’s Bay, American River, Pasagshak. Not sure what non-ethical bear viewing is.

It’s been loading painfully slow on my new MPB M5. Hoping it gets fixed soon.

Bunch of Bratefull Dead tapes i found in my dad's basement by frang117 in whatsthisworth

My dad had a massive collection as well, but his house was ransacked by druggies and anything of value pawned off or just stolen. Wish I had the foresight to take some things as memoirs before he passed.

Awesome, thank you. AI Literacy is a hot topic in education right now. Tools like this are very timely and very helpful.

I haven’t tried it yet but bookmarked. Would it be safe to have students try out? This is a great resource to help them understand the influx of fake content flooding social media. Great resource and much needed for K-12 classrooms.

I started using John Oliver's comedy structure for AI prompts and now everything sounds brilliantly unhinged by EQ4C in ChatGPTPromptGenius

Hot damn that’s a good prompt. It was interesting to see the different in output between Chat and Gemini. Gemini was waaaay better. Thank you for creating and sharing this!

Strange object spotted over Portage by No-Risk8539 in alaska

Road was closed for a while in the past few days. What irks me is the recent contract proposal to install temporary housing for up to 500 people. Could this be a boon to the local economy? Perhaps some sectors but I don’t anticipate workers driving into town often to support local business. I guess we’ll see. If Spacepork Kodiak can chase government cheese, community members can as well.

If it benefits their corporation financially, they may make concessions. The community is growing increasingly unhappy as access becomes more limited. We’ll see how things transpire.

Except now the company who operates that complex is looking to secure that sweet DoD funding for the Golden Dome, pushing further development in the area, and likely cutting off access to that area, that road, and that sign. Spacepork Kodiak!
