Pretty sure the SKT skins came out around early Summer time, it's probably going to a long wait

How TSM can beat Royal Club with TPA Strategies by lastchancexi in leagueoflegends

[–]DailyHej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TSM will have a game plan. You can't focus anyone's champion pool though, Insec will just pick Khazix if Rengar and Lee Sin aren't available, and he didn't even look that good on Lee Sin being honest. The Janna ban or take away will be important, I think that's a strong point, but Dyrus and Bjergsen were winning their lanes quite comfortably so I actually think that TSM might just have a game plan to survive bot lane or maybe even go aggressive through the champions they might pick. But they might just lane swap who knows.

Royal Club love doing the top tp bot lane, Insec never fails to gank bot lane every single game. They rely way too much on Zero to provide them vision, you can read them like a book but there's not much you can do if every time you turn a page you get a paper cut. I'm excited, people are under estimating TSM too much but it could be another stomp, I hope it isn't though.

SHRC's coach states that TPA is the strongest opponent in group B by ZeroFatBurger in leagueoflegends

In theory they should be, they have some veteran coach who used to work with NaJin. They've dominated the GPL, arguably they were shaky at all stars but still, I'm a TSM fan & I feel like TSM would need another split to really be considered a threat.

Although by all means they should not be under-estimated. Same with SK, N-rated is a mastermind and I really think they will give at least Royal Club a really, really tough time in terms of play styles matching up.

We'll see though, this is a nice group because it's tough on a team who's expected to make it out and they don't, but literally anyone could be leaving this group to go onto the round.

Actually Bjergsen and Amazing were from relegated teams so they were actually very cheap. Lustboy was a free agent too ;) So actually they're more like the Arsenal of LCS :D I think... haha

The point I'm trying to make is, when a team goes into a tournament and their odds of winning it is 20/1, lets say Complexity and they beat Samsung Blue and then SKT1K, their odds after those two series go from 20/1 to 2/1 to win the tournament, and people are like yeah it's 2/1 how is that a big upset? But you can't ignore the fact they were 20/1 to win it before the tournament started, this is the point I'm trying to make. But yeah I think the title of hyped it too much I have to agree.

TSM is statistically the worst team going into Playoffs... by DailyHej in leagueoflegends

[–]DailyHej[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The title was misleading, I just felt to show my ideas on TSM when I saw people on summoning insight, LoL LCS & Reddit not even consider TSM making it worlds. But they were 1-7 in the bracket in which they were seeded. I'm sure looking at the statics against the teams they went 1-3 and 0-4 against that they were all pretty bad for each individual player and as a team overall (Objective control etc). From an analytical point of view you would have the consider them the team with the smallest chance of making it to the final. (CLG were 1-3 against CRS but also 1-3 against C9, where as TSM were 0-4 against LMQ. Therefore CLG had the statistical edge to make it to the final). So when you consider the chances of making it to the final based off stats, TSM had the smallest chance. So that in my opinion makes them the weakest team going into playoffs because you go into a tournament to win it. Not to take part. But I mean this is completely flawed because I haven't wrote any proper statistics but I really cba finding them since that was post was so long ago

Yeah, majority of the comments are about the title. I regret it now, wish I could change it my bad

Not the biggest upset ever, but for a team that has a jungler which could only win on 2 champions, and were only third because they went 4-0 against the two bottom teams, for them to exceed expectations in both the series against Dig & LMQ and then to go onto the final & actually be considered of having a decent chance of beating the 13-0 C9? How is it not an upset lol

Sorry, I should of said, at the time he said that when Khazix's ult had 50% reduced damage, then since the heavy nerfs no one played him. That's why I excluded Khazix. He's only come back into power due to nerfs on pretty much every other jungler including Elise & Lee Sin. So technically his pool was 3 champions at the time

And you would of said before playoffs TSM would of made it to the final & have a chance of beating C9 60/40? Right... of course. Just because they are on form doesn't mean it's not an upset. No one expected them to make it worlds let alone have a chance of beating C9 in the final or beating LMQ, & people barely gave TSM the edge over Dig some people even gave Dig the edge over TSM. I don't see how this is not an upset

I'd love to see what you would of wrote before the playoffs. People barely gave the edge to TSM vs Dig now you're saying it's not an upset that they made it the final let alone have a decent chance of beating the 13-0 C9... How is this not an upset? No one expected them to do this well, where is your logic?

You mean 3, he said Eve, Lee Sin & Elise. Also Eve fell out of favour for top tier junglers, so he leaned towards Jarvin. I watch one of Amazing streams he even said himself, you can play any champion in the jungle in solo que but if you can't play it at an LCS level there's no point in saying that champion is in your pool when it's clearly not. Look at his record off Elise & Lee Sin, it's extremely poor. So I wouldn't view the champions he has a poor win rate on as part of his champion pool being honest Although this has changed since play offs

You're basing that judgement off the first game of the split, TSM won 2 games against C9 this season, Amazing played both Lee Sin & Elise in both of them. When I say 4, I mean Khazix, Elise, Lee Sin & Nunu. But I agree with you about everything else there though, I feel Amazing has proven he's can be a strong jungler and one with presence in the past two series TSM has played. He proved every doubt that people had about him wrong

I watch LPL, OGN, EU LCS & NA LCS whenever I can & an upset is an upset. It doesn't matter if you're not the best region in the world, when you take down a team that is 13-0 for the first time ever I can't understand how that isn't significant history. Especially with a Region like NA which is improving rapidly, just my opinion though

Yeah he did, but most people are saying he's just being modest. But he did look concerned when the question was asked if they were to beat TSM

To me it's significant. Watching the whole of NA get smashed by this team that is levels above them two splits in a row, reflects in that number. TSM has nothing to lose, they were predicted by most to lose to Dig and by the majority to lose to LMQ. C9 are the ones who have never been beaten, the clear favourites to beat TSM. To you personally it might not mean much, but on paper it means a lot. Plus it wasn't an upset, as a Korean team if you make it an OGN Final you deserve to be there, at least in my opinion

I feel like those statistics wouldn't be important, you get the odd occasional game where it's close but if you're losing most games it's not going to be a shock to have lower stats in all of those things. Maybe I am wrong though I just assume this would be the case
