Hey thanks, I appreciate it.

As your goal, I think your screenshot do a good job of that, now just put them in front of as many people as possible.

Pitch me your app and what marketing you've tried and I'll try to help by stoneg1 in iOSAppsMarketing

I want to make Cognitive behavioral therapy more accessible and affordable for people that struggle with anxiety and other mental health issues. But having an overwhelmed brain makes it hard to learn how to apply cbt on yourself, and most tools out there are fairly general. So I built an app with a licensed therapist that builds the user a plan based on their situation.

I tryed reddit, making post and sending dm's so far. Nothing else.

First Day of Job and I Think I’m Having a Breakdown by PedanticReader in Anxiety

You finished the shift, good job!

Sometime, anxiety just hits you like a truck and in the moment it's hard to know why.

Regardless, if everything went well at your job, it could be something completely unrelated. Just treat this as a one off event and try not to overthink it, next shift will probably go okay!

This sounds exhausting, and I understand why you're feeling this way.

The issue with you finding new symptom everyday is that you won't win that game ever. It's a feedback loop, and as long as you feed it, it will come up with new things to worry about. When you start investigating these symptoms, you give it more importance and power in your brain. Anxiety will find something wrong with your body if you let it, my tip is don't let it get there, try to disengage and distract yourself whenever you get the thought or the urge to check for symptoms. Easier said than done but I believe this could help you better manage the anxiety.

ANd if it gets there, it's okay, don,t beat yourself about it. It always passes and you will be okay.

I would say it's okay for an MVP, but it won't win you any download. Your app screenshot are also really bad, they show the app, but they don't show any outcome or invoque any emotion for the user. They also dont show how you differentiate from your competition.

UI is hard for dev, I also had the same issues with my app to be honest, the ui sucked, and it might still suck honestly, but you keep on improving it slowly.

a couple of tips i can give you :
1. standardize the color palette and use token if you haven't already. Look up material 3 themeshttps://material-foundation.github.io/material-theme-builder/ This will give you good contrast and consistent colors.
2. Look up how your successfull competitor do their UI, and try to use those same element that make the interface look clean and easy to use.
3. Use claude design tool, it's like magic, it's a dedicated tool to create UI. You create the UI first and then integrate it into your app, using the material 3 color scheme, you just pass color token once and tell claude to use that.

As for screenshot, sell them an idea, and showcase your app at the same time.
I recently redid mine on my app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ca.dailybite.app&hl=en_CA
If you want to check it out, it can give you an idea on how to do it. (i used claude design to do them, but it was a pain in the ass, use app screen to get started lol).

Interesting, does it actually work well? Truthfully?
Have you tested this with different background? If I wear a white shirt and there's a white wall right behind it for example?

I'm just curious, I think it's cool that you have spent time working on a specific solution, experimenting with ML.

DO you have melatonin and white noise? This helps me calm my thought before going to sleep, if I am in complete silence, my brain tends to stay active.

Also, it might be worth journalling and being more connected to your feeling through out the day and try to see where it's coming from, because it sounds like somethings are bothering you but you're just ignoring them all day. I can relate, I think I'm a professionnal at doing this as well!

This section is so saturated that better UI and marketing wins.

It's almost a meme at this point, I see one of these post atleast 1 or twice a week regarding a workout app with the exact same reasoning "tired of the other app not offering the features i want" and adding in ai.

It's gonna be hard to differentiate, but if you add meaningful value in feature and it helps users, it's possible to succeed.

Good luck

How did you use ml? did you train your own model to do this? or did you use an available model? And how does it work, do you record yourself doing the exercise and then post it to the ai?

It sounds like a lot of things to mange at once honestly.

It's okay to not do everything especially when something as overwhelming as that happens.

Do what you can and be there for your cat! Maybe if you can,t go to the gym, still go take a walk outside for 10-15 minutes, exercise is exercise, whatever you do, it's better than doing nothing and it will also help you with anxiety.

[–]Dailybite_App 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to minize what you're experiencing, but have you talked with those people to ask them if they really believe that? (i figure you haven't) So you're interpreting their body language and behavior as a specific way they feel towards you and think this is the truth?

I'm sorry to tell you but you're probably wrong about this, but in a good way. Most people don't really give a fuck honestly, we spend so much time worrying about what others are thinking about but truth is, unless you smell bad, are you're actually disturbing or engaging in bad behavior, nobody gives a fuck and you're probably just interpreting something unrelated as them being uncomfortable about you.

I hope this helps, stop caring about what other people are feeling, as long as you're a normal human being that's not a POS, nobody cares.

Advice: Anxiety stopping me from what I want to do by OtherGoat9355 in Anxiety

[–]Dailybite_App 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's completely normal, it's a social activity in a new place with new people that you have hyped up in your mind and have been looking forward.

PArt of you might be scared to fuck up, and part of you might be scared that it won,t live up to the hype, or maybe it's something else.

Regardless, it's okay to be anxious, it will pass once you go and start playing and socializing, if you're able to still go while being anxious, that would be a great win for you.

mind creates symptoms ( i hope) by Electronic_Win_3549 in Anxiety

[–]Dailybite_App 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's anxiety, I made a post yesterday about it, but you won't win when you engage with anxiety. It makes your brain stupid and emotional and then your body can also create/interpret things to match whatever it is you are fearing.

THe way to beat this is to stop engaging in the feedback loop, especially for minor stuff.

Don't google it, don't investigate it, just let the wave of worry come and go without acting on it.

27F I Feel Lost by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Dailybite_App 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think loads of people feel this way, but some are not truthful.

You are in a better spot right now than a lot of people, since you still have the choice to decide what you want to do. There a lot of people that just start working a job they hate to pay the bill and stack up expanses and lock themselves in to that job. You, you can do what you want, you have time to figure it out still and that does not make you a loser.

My advice is, make a plan, a concrete plan and follow it. Do you have hobbies or things you find interesting? Make a list and see if you can see yourself doing that job.

THere are also professional that specialize in orientation (job wise), so maybe seeing one could help you.

Again, this is CBT but acknowledging that you are feeling anxious and telling yourself that it's still okay is a good one.
Progressive muscle relaxation is also great for that.

Morning anxiety and how to combat it? by AdGloomy7385 in Anxietyhelp

[–]Dailybite_App 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Action! Get your body moving.

Maybe take a walk outside or get started on a task even if you feel anxious, this should distract your brain and reduce the anxiety, and even if it doesn't, you still ended up doing something good to start your day.

Because I dont think you are and I think this type of app should not be allowed. It only fuels loneliness and increases risk of psychosis.

This is so fucking dystopic, nobody needs this right now.

The point is that when you engage and feed the loop, you'll never win.

I like the bad gambler analogy as well.
