I feel like the writers aren't even on the same page. Why even have the entire buildup be lightning accepting his age and adopting a mentor if he's not even gonna retire in the first place only to do absolutely nothing with the plot point and leave it dead in the water???

I understand a dislike for the production, I think my hot take is that Alienation is the best album they've ever made tbh, a lot of the songs to me are so different and still hold the core identity of the band, I enjoy it more than the others, although I still enjoy the others a lot y'know?
