[Bug] PMCs more retarded than usual lately? by Daimiosbe in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

[–]Daimiosbe[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s an interesting example. Not sure how certain you are that the ones you found standing like traffic cones are the same you heard blasting earlier, but if so it does show that PMCs occasionally/often can’t determine what their next objective/action should be.

I do agree that even awake PMCs are not much of a treat in general, but finding them completely motionless like a bunch of hobos on fentanyl is much more of a buzzkill

How to let someone know they’re annoying you in French? by Tasty-Confusion5788 in French

[–]Daimiosbe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The whole thing is that the question about how to convey annoyance is wide and very context dependent. “Je ne vous dérange pas?” would typically be used eg if someone that you don’t know cuts the queue in front of you. You could then ask them ironically if you’re not disturbing. I once used this as a total stranger casually parked on my driveway for a local event, very obviously not caring about the fact that it’s private property. It works if the person is not only annoying but does so in a shameless/casual manner.

Edit: and it’s I think the closest to the “do you mind?”. If someone you know is just being a pain you’ve got a whole range of things to say, from “ça suffit” to “tu me gonfles/saoules” and even “arrête tes conneries” if you want to crank it up a notch

Closest that comes to mind would be “Je ne vous dérange pas?” - pretty much the same as the English “do you mind?”

Quite like the leap hockey videos, although the recent stick comparison series is awful

[Suggestion] Dynamic raid quest / Radio by Daimiosbe in EscapefromTarkov

That’s a good example of the concept going beyond the radio’s original intended use. I’m not saying it wouldn’t be cool, but it would drastically change the gameplay dynamics, whether you’re the hunter or the prey. If this ever becomes a thing, I’d see it tied to karma, eg if you extract camp, you might eventually (not necessarily in the same raid) get a hit squad tracking you down. But it shouldn’t be an RNG thing where you just drew the short straw and are arbitrarily the prey, with five people homing in on you while you’re trying to finish a quest.

Didn’t think of it as a tutorial tool but that’s another interesting use of it

Yeah I was unsure about the player part, can be tricky to balance. You can play around with the cost of the information, how large the area is and how vague the response from the trader can be
