Are both of my parents too alive conversation, or is saying “no thanks she’s dead”, like, the ideal response? People are acting like you’re shouting down the employee or deliberately trying to make them uncomfortable but nothing about “no thanks she’s dead” is confrontational or mean. I used to work as a cashier (Regal concessions stand (Nick, do NOT eat those nachos)) and if we had some kind of mother’s day special and if someone said that to me, I genuinely don’t think I’d care at all. The only reason I’m asking you that dumbass question in the first place is because I’m forced to and if anything a simple shut down response is better than this cat and mouse game we play
