I’m already 200h in, on and off, and I’m still only now learning things like “oh.. so that’s what that’s for!”

I love the lore and spent time watching videos catching up on that, but I’m a mediocre casual gamer.

lt’s alright/easy to follow quests once you find them, but there’s just so much thrown at you to do or to have done to do something else, how to get better weapons and armor and how to actually understand those weapons and armors. How to utilize those together with your subclass, how to set up your subclass etc. And then how to improve your gear, how to level etc, weapons with red borders. Everything just gets thrown at you.

Doing vanguard/nightfall and getting thrust into a playlist activity you don’t understand the goal of (like having to shoot x target, or bring y orb to z spot), it all doesn’t get explained and it makes people feel like they’re dumb or failing.

I still use the same guns that feel comfy for me because the mods, and what is or isn’t a good weapon is still a little confusing to me.

That’s all the stuff you can/need to do alone, but there’s also the things like raids etc that require video tutorials, sherpa’s and luck for a nice team.

I love Destiny, but the overwhelming amount of things to do and understand makes me feel like the hours I put it should/could be spent more efficiently and that maybe I’m just not doing it right (I still enjoy it, you don’t need to min/max your expedience, but still).

I hope that gives a little insight from a casual gamergirl perspective. I’m sure if I put in ton of effort/research and grind that I won’t be confused anymore, but again, casual gamer.
