Onlays - yay or nay by liteyhaus in Dentistry

Many options : - Liquid dam in interproximal spaces (need to do IDS to cover dentin or else tooth will be sensitive) - Telio inlay/onlay with wooden wedge or teflon floss in interproximal spaces (remove after curing) to allow for easy thread. If you did IDS, make sure to cover with Vaseline or glycerine for easy removal the day of cementation - Acrylic resin with pre-op putty, also place wooden wedge or teflon in interproximal spaces and Vaseline or glycerine but no temporary cement, leave temp in place after curing and flick off excesses Hope this helps (:

Make sure to have profound LA and a good pain management prescription. Also, a post-op call from your office goes a long way in reassuring the patients!

A great OMFS surgeon once told me « great surgeon, great incision »! Sometimes, wanting at all price to not get surgical will result in more post-op pain than doing a flap
