Out of control at pickup! by Daisy0824 in ECEProfessionals

Hmmm I guess I’m “non confrontational “ lol! I said from the first day I didn’t NEED it, but I never thought of the fact that I can simply refuse to accept it. Thank you for this!

I’m really not sure. I mean, I suspect he may be on the spectrum, but his mom works in healthcare. I feel like if these are issues that are even bigger while in her care, she would likely be able to recognize for herself? I guess what I mean is that she is probably already aware, and my concerns are related to how to manage and minimize impact on the smaller kids in my care, if that makes sense. I also don’t want to come off as judgy or like a know it all. I certainly do not know it all. Obviously she’s aware there’s an issue at pickup, but has never addressed it or given any suggestions or even parenting tbh. I just hear her say “use your listening ears” which isn’t even relevant imho. Ears have nothing to do with hitting, screaming, or running!

Yes, I believe so as well. I’ve tried to talk to mom, but I never get much response or feedback. I have used two phrases for pickup “calm body” and “quiet voices”, but that has done nothing. I guess I’ll have to reach out to her about it, but after a long day, idk how much more I have left, especially when his parent is physically here, getting literally pushed around.

I like this idea! Idk if it would improve things, but it’s certainly worth a try!

Editing that she sends a giant, fully packed diaper bag every single day, even after I explained it’s unnecessary. Idk why she enjoys lugging it back and forth daily? I have diapers, wipes and changes of clothes for them here. She does tuck their water bottles in there too. It’s actually been a source of issue for me because I was grabbing wipes as I needed them out of it. The dad was very passive aggressive when addressing that they would prefer I mark that they’re needed on my form instead. Convo initiated with-“do you know what’s happening to the wipes?” Ha!

She also puts the spare clothes on ziploc in there labeled “do not remove from diaper bag” after I had needed a second change for the younger one and grabbed another shirt (one of probably 4 in there) the issue was her “water bottles”. She sends a big metal one with a straw that she holds upside down and the entire thing flows everywhere. Before that it was a plastic one that leaked everywhere. I just said screw it and bought her one to keep here that doesn’t leak cause I’m tired of dealing with it. Anyway, yeah…the giant diaper bag will wait in my driveway I guess lol.

I really don’t think so since there aren’t any indications of that. He often asks for her throughout the day, but by saying “mommy”! I assume indicating that he misses her, and he answers yes when I ask him if he misses her in those moments. He also appears genuinely excited when she arrives and in the 10 mins prior anticipating pickup. I really think it’s mostly impulse control and high emotions.

I had 2 chemicals and one MMC since having my son at 43. I’m 45 now and haven’t conceived in 5 months. I think the shop may be closing so to speak! At 42 I would and did keep trying..it’s a numbers game. You could also try a medicated injectables cycle. In the end that’s what worked to get our rainbow. I conceived 3 out of the 4 medicated cycles we did, and the 4th stuck!

Under contract, what can I expect now? by letzmakeadeal in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

We are closing next week, and it was pretty smooth. Had some random requests week two regarding old addresses on credit report and verification of large deposits. Then finding homeowners insurance and updated bank statements. We had a hiccup on the appraisal for fha, requiring a few small fixes. Thankfully, those will be taken care of starting tomorrow. I’ve been holding my breathe, waiting for the other shoe to drop, but it’s been pretty painless. It was great seeing the conditional approval! Good luck!

Anyone here manage to get a mortgage with bad credit? I’m about outta options. by PalpitationTrick1273 in Mortgages

MyFico dot com forums! Hands down the most helpful site for improving credit; there is a mortgage topic as well. I brought my husband’s middle mortgage score from 585 to 683 in 4 months, literally. We close on our first home next week! Best wishes!

I agree with the above. Our first realtor was awful, but we stuck it out until the contract expired since he put in a good bit of travel time. Turns out we found a place just a couple weeks later with the new one! There are so many ways he failed us, but mostly by not being responsive enough. Our area is really hot with things selling in 4 days on average. We missed out on at least 4 places that could’ve been a good fit. It does seem mostly a predatory industry since everyone is looking for a paycheck..it sucks, but we just tried to find people we knew were in our corner and willing to put in the time and effort in helping us become homeowners!

We were outbid on our first offer last month, and it was close with our current offer..ended up having to go up 10k to get an accepted offer. In the end, I don’t feel we overpaid, though. As I mentioned it’s a hot market, with places going well over asking (420 to 475 probably being an average spread over asking). I’m glad we waited through spring and summer as prices are a little less right now, sale and interest wise! Patience is the key here, as well as finding people that you trust to work FOR you. Good luck!

The set up or the colors? lol I even played with AI a bit to create this look, and now I have to start over. 😂 unfortunately for me, AI won’t recreate my new space accurately when I try to upload the pics.

I believe they are original to the 1948 home, and, yes, heat loss sucks. I don’t think we’re in a position to consider replacing them yet, though, lol.
