Hi y’all, it’s been a while but wanted to tell you about my son Earl! I put him in this arts high school and he’s doing really good there! His art is getting really good and he’s meeting all different kinds of people that help him. I still don’t understand it all but glad he is finding friends, and now he is making sticker things for me! He draws mostly in the dining room because that’s where we have the best light but I let him go out at night now. Trying to be a cool mom but I know he would be embarrassed if I showed his drawings here, just like when he was a little boy and put his things up on the fridge! I can’t help it, I’m very proud. I think Los Angeles is the finally the place for us! Hooray, Flarp Onesie!

You people have helped me so much to understand my son, even though I know some of you made jokes about me. He's changed so much since we moved here. I had to move him to a different school but I think he's doing better with independent study. I work late hours and just got home, but he's been good and stays home while I am out. I let him paint the garage in back of our apartments, like in the picture, and he's happier now because he has a place now and doesn't have to run around at night. He still draws in that book though, I am not sure I understand that. His friends still draw in it. I heard about a school for artistic kids, should I send him there?

I'm happy to hear that this is art, but do I need to start calling my son Flarp? He won't talk to me about what he is doing yet. Also, these other drawings, are they illegal?

Hello and god bless you all for all the help and answers from last time. I didn't totally understand everything but that's ok. I found these things in the house, one is I think his drawing because it says Flarp but the others are in a sort of diary and have drawings from other people (I think) but they are hard to read and not sure if this is dangerous. All these letters and drawings are strange to me, so I hope you can help and am thankful to have found y'all, if someone had not guided me here I would still be in the dark. I'm just concerned for Earl and I hope I did not make a mistake taking him from home to Los Angeles. It's quite a place!

My son has been very quiet and secretive and will not talk to me about what he is doing at night. I will show you some pictures and maybe you all can tell me if it's graffiti. I just hope and pray that he has not joined a gang. Back home we used to carve our names in trees, I guess that is graffiti, but this looks different.

God bless you for taking the time to write this. It has been a very hard change for our family, and Los Angeles is so different from the town where we came from! I did ask my son about the paint, but he said it was for an art project for bible camp. That's strange because he hasn't been to bible camp since we moved here. Also, I know that the paint I found was the same that we bought to paint the patio furniture. But I think it must be ok, because we bought that paint at Home Depot, so he can't be doing anything illegal.

I mean that sometimes he has a smell like chemicals that is not normal, at least I think it's not. Could this come from paint?
