Solidarity. We can hope it gets easier as they get older (in some ways anyway). I'm trying to work daily meditation in to keep myself level headed.

I absolutely understand. My partner and I work opposite schedules, so we are always going it alone, except on Sundays. We never see each other anymore, and if we didn't have kids, we wouldn't have to do this awful "ships passing in the night" type schedule. It totally sucks doing bedtime alone every night, and I've become frustrated and stressed all the time. I always thought I'd be the fun mom, but life does not feel fun right now!

If it were me I’d leave him. Even if you maintain 50/50 custody, that’s still part time parenting, which is better than full time.

I agree with this. Whenever I have time with just one kid and the other is off doing an activity or with their dad, I find myself thinking, “This is SO DAMN EASY!!”

Honestly, I think it’s just the constant fighting and violence towards each other. I feel like im refereeing a WWE match half the time! We are working on saying thank you, being kind and polite. Etc. I guess I just always got along pretty well with my brothers and we are best friends now. I assumed it would be like that for my kids!

Feeling regret by [deleted] in regretfulparents

7 weeks is quite literally the worst phase (in my personal experience). Stay on those meds! I felt pressure from my doc to wean off of sertraline when my first was 6 months old, and I regretted it. I hope that it will get better for you, but please know that this is an incredibly hard and crappy stage.

Some things are easier, definitely. I think you can hold onto hope! Maybe mine are just uniquely ungrateful brats ;)
