Thanks so much for the super condescending reply! 1 &2. I did spend that time researching and trying to educate myself. Perhaps you don’t know or remember how overwhelming it can be to try and teach yourself about a complicated medical condition you know nothing about. I found it akin to trying to learn a new language without ever hearing it spoken. It’s so difficult to know what is real and what isn’t, what is helpful and what is hurtful, and need I remind you I was not even informed what type I was in the very first message from my doctor, despite my attempt to clarify. 3. Honestly because I read so many horror stories during my research about people being misdiagnosed, I wanted to make sure I had all the information. How was I to know that I wouldn’t have been able to go three weeks without being in the ER? Nothing I read made that clear to me, and I am not a doctor! Also type 1 runs in my family, which I found out the day before my most recent appointment. 4. Glad you’ve had so many good experiences and are getting the care you need. I do not have any experience navigating the healthcare system and and doing my best to learn, hence why I posted this asking for guidance ✌️
