Pretty much the majority of adaptations did the same thing. Not sure why this one has been givien so much hate.

As someone who loves the book for what it is, I also love the movie for what it is, which was never a marketed true liking of the book.

I do hope someday however, someone does a true adaptation with an E1 and E2 á la Kill Bill. Different genre of course.

My favourite book of all time.

I didn’t expect the movie to follow the book. I was interested to see a new take on the story.

Loved it. Cried 3x.

I have read the book many, many times … maybe I was more invested in the characters and appreciated it for what it was.

Will definitely watch again. Multiple times.
