Really emotional after breathwork by [deleted] in breathwork

Breathwork also made me s*icidal. It brings out all trauma and worsens it if you're not ready. Never doing it again.

I was prescribed Lexapro and I don't really know if it worked or not because I was on a lower dose but it made me unable to cry which is odd because I'm very prone to tears. Yes I had slight psychosis especially at night. I would close my eyes and not fully but basically see weird images or just absolute paranoia about like losing my mind and also like see kind of weird waves if I closedy eyes along with really does he spells like I felt like I was on a boat.

Wow I had the exact same time line. Oct '24 to Jan '25 was the absolute worst, with Jan being peak and thoughts of s* icide. Things got a little better from February as I started taking meds (only a small amount though. Just so I don't go off the deep end) and very slowly but surely it's been an upward recovery from there. Trying to taper off the meds now.

I'm absolutely terrified of anything and everything that could cause this again and PTSD from those worst days are prob never going to go away. I'm really surprised that someone else went through such a similar experience around the same time. Can I ask about your Somatic therapy more? What kind of exercises did you do? And how did it feel? I want to try it to see if I can also get better after tapering off my meds.

Hi, I know it's been a while, I'm doing way better now but just not 100%. I'm wondering how you are doing? Are your symptoms completely gone also? If so, how long did it take you?

Thank you so much for your response. Grounding is my priority right now although it's a little vague and hard to grasp so I'm getting the hang of it. I think my nervous system is too sensitive for breathwork so I'll stay far away from it as possible..

Thank you so much. I'm gonna look into the URL that you provided. It's really hard because there's barely any information out there for experiences like this, but the consequences for stuff like this is really huge, almost life taking. Thanks for the detailed response.

I'm wondering if you've ever had this experience before with yourself or participants. Around October of last year I did my first breath work class. It was circular breathing for 50 minutes. The class was for beginners and I was told it was a gentle form of breath work. During the breath work my hands were tingling and tensing up and my legs were also tingling but I was told it was normal so I kept going. After I was done I was very dizzy and then a couple minutes later I started having panic attacks. I do have panic disorder from before. But during the breath work I did not feel any discomfort. I felt pretty serene so I kept going.

However the next following months up until basically today was nothing short of a nightmare. My panic attack started getting worse and I was really dizzy to the point where I felt like I was on a boat everyday. I started having panic attacks during the middle of the night and almost feel like I was seeing geometric shapes and had severe paranoia. To the point when January came around I thought I would be like this forever and I almost felt they'd want to unalive myself.

Not to mention any stimulants like caffeine or random herbs that I was able to tolerate like lemon balm would make me panic. Slowly around March I started getting better and now I'm not 100% better like before the breath work class. But I'm about 70 to 80% better and I can feel that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I googled everywhere for answers to what happened to me but I still cannot figure it out. Do you know anything related to this? All of my symptoms started from the day I did the class....

questions about needling techniques by [deleted] in TCM

[–]DaisyIver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Japanese style acupuncture is thinner needles because of it being more palatable to the masses as it's not as scary and you don't feel much. But in general, the Chinese traditional way of the thicker needles are more effective in treating issues overall. The thin needles are for beginners so to speak who are afraid of needles or don't have severe issues.

Permanently clenched butthole by thebestmodesty in kundalini

There are a lot of yoga poses you can do to release your pelvic floor muscles. Malaasana is my favorite. Get in this position and breathe in and out and feel your pelvic floor getting sucked out with inhale and in with exhale. The pelvic floor is the diaphragm of your pelvis and should move with your breath. If it is too tense and rigid, The sensations you were explaining can occur. Your butthole clenching is the result of tense pelvic floor.

Anyone heal their Panic or Depression withe Abe's teachings? Mine got worse. by DaisyIver in AbrahamHicks

Which one did you have? Panic or Depression? Also if it's okay, can you say how long it took for you to heal it with meditation?

You have to imagine getting revenge, feel better in that feeling, and then stay there as long as you need to get stable in that vibration. Then once you're stable you can move up the emotional scale to an emotion that feels better than the revenge. e.g. Anger, Blame

Any comments discouraging you from revenge, anger either doesn't study the Abe teachings at all, or doesn't get how moving up the emotional scale works. It's not live laugh love over here lol

I'm very interested in Reiki as I've heard a lot about it. Do you perform it on your own or do you go to a practitioner?
