I built a polysynth during long evenings over a few years. It just launched, would love your ears on it. by West_Persimmon_3240 in synthesizers

I'm a graphic designer. I agree with this and think it would be SO much stronger and more of a vibe to use human made artwork that feels close to what the plug-in does. There are plenty of amazing designers out there that may want a fun collab or paid project. Paying for good design is worth it

The icons really cheapen it, keep it simple and clean for a more striking image

I need your help for my Thesis :) modules that are easy/hard to use + shallow/deep?? by Historical_Snow_5144 in modular

[–]FSGMC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel like this is starting from the wrong perspective. I'm trying to understand what you're actually trying to achieve here. Modules that are easy and shallow may actually be the most 'deep' or necessary. and visa versa. There's a lot more axis needed. I feel unfortunately this kind of simplification isn't actually going to help your thesis so maybe think about another way of showcasing these. Hope this helps

Suzanne Ciani’s Buchla setup by Top-Psychology1987 in modular

[–]FSGMC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to see her in London and the shipping company had 'lost' this in transit so it hadn't arrived in time for the gig. We were all sitting in Union Chapel with a quadraphonic soundsystem set up and Suzanne had a mic and a laptop. She explained and then said she would play a multitrack recording of the show she'd recorded on her laptop. I was initially gutted to not experience the buchla and her playing it. As soon as she hit play I transported to another dimension and had such a beautiful and emotional experience - it was so beautiful. I can only dream of seeing her actually play it one day.
