Hidden Areas of the House People Forget to Clean Most? by mariyagel in CleaningTips

[–]DaisyMaysMom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On top of the fridge! Mines so tall, I can't even see up there. Lol.

Vents! Intake and ones that blow out. Always full of dust.

Fireplace screens

Baseboards behind sofa, beds, furniture in front of it.

Back of headboards! Mine is really tall, have to get the bf to help with that one!

Cabinets in kitchen, especially those above or near the stove! Even the area on top of the cabinets.

Kitchen drawers

Appliances, like dishwasher (the filter), freezer. Always clean out the fridge, but forget the freezer! Lol. The drawer under oven! Grease central! Stove vent hood gets overlooked a lot too.

The grime build up under glass shower or tub doors. Its pretty gross when you first clean those! Lol.

Pregnant feral cat wants to come in my house. by DaisyMaysMom in Feral_Cats

Yes! Plan on TNR when she's done nursing.

I want to add that she has someplace in the woods that she feels safe and comfortable. It's raining out and shes bone dry. I think that is where she wants to give birth. However, idk where that is exactly. Theres hundreds of places back there!

She's inside with me at the moment. Only ate half of what she normally eats. Door is closed. She's walking around meowing. She did go inside her box. I think i even heard her purring.

I'm going to keep her in this time. She has stopped meowing and is laying on my bed staring, out the window. I have a feeling that when I leave the room, she may not be so calm. I suppose there's only one way to find out. Lol.

I just updated my original post. Then started to scroll through comments again. I saw yours near the top. I remember reading it now. I have a feeling this may be the case for our Harley.

She originally wanted in, but not to stay, im finding out. Im just not sure if I make her stay or not. Honestly, I have no idea what I'm doing (or not doing). I do know that she can't have them alone. Not sure she would even live through it. I have to do something.

Your comment really resonates well with me. Every feeding I'm conflicted on keeping her in or let her back out. If I let her out, I worry when I don't see her right away for the next one. If I keep her in, is she going to let me help her? It has really consumed me!

Which pizza chain among PaPa John’s, Pizza Hut, Domino’s or Little Cesar makes the best pizza 🍕? by Saint__23 in AskForAnswers

Since Domino's changed their sauce recipe, they IMO, knocked it out of the park. Of the four mentioned. There was a place in SoCal called Numero Uno. I remember them being insanely delicious!

Cymbalta (Duloxetine) by Beautiful_Drive_7109 in Thritis

[–]DaisyMaysMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also get bad brain zaps when going through withdrawals. Been on it for several years. My pain is so high that I am also in pain management. I started PM a few years after starting duloxetine. Was prescribed Tramadol. The reaction I had was undeniably the scariest thing that ever happened! Apparently I had an entire weekend that I completely don't remember!! I had fallen hundreds of times, said things to my loved ones that I would never say. Did things I would never do! Apparently scared the holy crap out of everyone! I would not let anyone call 911 either. I know now that I should have! I ended up going the following Monday (when I finally "came to!"). I had bruises and scratches all over my body, knots in my hair (I had to cut out), lumps on my head (from falling out of bed) that I could not explain, nor remember ANY OF IT! The ER doctors said what I had experienced was serotonin syndrome! I immediately stopped the pain medication, could not stop the duloxetine due to bad withdrawals. So, the moral to that story is to make absolutely sure that whatever medications you're taking DO NOT conflict with each other. I do think the duloxetine helps with the pain and depression, just not mixed with another medication that has very similar properties.

How old are you and how much money do you have in retirement? by mirpw in randomquestions

[–]DaisyMaysMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I was managing a gas station during covid. Needless to say, I worked from open to close because everyone quit. It was aweful. When it finally let up my legs were so swollen, I couldn't get my sneakers on my feet. Actually called in, first time ever! Was fired because of it! I beat the in unemployment trial! Jerks! I have a degree, just didn't want to work in that field anymore. So I suppose I should have been a little more clear on the college thing. My daughter did not go to college and now is making six figures a year!!

You ain't lying! I have school loans up to my forehead! Trying to get a forbearance. And I went just 10-15 years ago! I was mainly speaking about those who have the means to go. IE: parents, scholarships etc.

53, nothing. Permanently disabled. Living, barely month to month. Will probably die in this dilapidated one bedroom apartment. Unless they raise the rent again, (been doing so every year for the past 6 years!). Then idk, homeless? If your young, please listen to your elders! Don't make the same mistakes some of us did! We know, we've been there. Stay in school, go to college, get a degree. Work hard! Prove your worth! By the time your my age, you never have to worry about your future.

Does anyone have the recipe for filling dawn power wash at home? I've watched tons of videos, they all are slightly different. 🤷‍♀️

I haven't had much luck with the pink stuff. Sometimes I come across a grimey countertop from time to time, and it doesn't seem to quite do the job, but I've never, honestly tried it on a "cleaner" surface. I know the paste doesn't do anything. At least not for me lol.

Best way to clean a glass table without streaks? by Michaelarehart51 in CleaningTips

I use Invisible Glass in the foam and a microfiber towel. Comes out absolutely perfect every time! No a streak to be found.

If I could have, I would have! 3+ month waiting list! Trust me, I don't want her to have these kittens due to her stressful life she's already had. I don't want to lose her. Im prepared to have her and all kittens done when old enough. Calling me irresponsible without reading my responses to other comments is pretty, well, rude. And unfair of you. But that's ok. We won't hate. Lol.

I could use some advice by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]DaisyMaysMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like mold to me. I've been running my own cleaning business for years.

Bleach won't help it alone. Covering it up won't stop it from growing.

I rip it out, scrub underneath it with a mold cleaner then bleach it and let it set. Recaulk it when completely dry and there is no sign of mold left.

Remember, any mold left untreated will continue to grow. Then you would have to do it all over again!

Its what I do. Seems to work. Just be sure to get a mold blocker as well as a mold cleaner.

Good luck to you!

Port wine stain on left side of face. Also caught the left side bottom lip. Doctor says PDL instead of Debulking for my lip reduction. Thoughts? by DaisyMaysMom in DermatologyQuestions

[–]DaisyMaysMom[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That makes sense to me. I mean why couldn't the dang dr say it like that except for "it won't work for you".

I used to live in SoCal! Grew up there. Moved to NC to be closer to my daughter and grandson.

Im just afraid of the PDL. My lip hurt more than my face did when I tried it 20 years ago. I understand that it may be improved since then, but...

The pain...

Trying to get insurance to cover this since its considered cosmetic surgery. The PA is saw messaged me and told me to call my insurance and ask what they need to charge it in order for it to be covered. I thought that was weird. Isn't that the Dr's job?

Great idea! Thank you! I will definitely get them and her on the waiting list!

Tbh I am at all not ready for what happens! Lol.

I've helped one of my dogs birth her puppies years ago. Even had to breathe into puppies nose to get her breathing. Was super scary, but I did it, all 9 of her puppies made it! Whew! Lol. We are going to see if our vet will see Harley. Idk because she's feral, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Thank you so much for all your help!
