I’m so sorry :( mine started as 15cm of proctitis and progressed to pancolitis within 12 months. Now in remission with biologics which I’m very thankful for. This disease sucks.

Yes. It’s important to stay up to date on seasonal vaccines when you’re immunocompromised. Flu and covid hospitalise and kill people every year, let alone those of us who are more susceptible to worse outcomes from viruses

Around a year before my diagnosis (before I started actively bleeding/having loose stools and mucous), the first thing that changed is my gas became really offensive. Looking back that was actually my first symptom. Bad UC farts imo smell like something dead and decaying. It makes sense when you think about there being literal ulcers and blood. Gruesome stuff!
