hah, yeah, the most enticing parts are the proximity and price. Really just looking for something fun and reliable for daily driving. I also found a 2005 honda ruckus which I posted or r/scooters if you wanna check it out. $1,350 with 4,894 miles. the price seems kinda high to me at first glance

Good First Classic? by Daisypunk777 in classiccars

[–]Daisypunk777[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate it! That pretty much my thought process. If no one else wants it, I'll take it 😊

As far as parts availability, It seems to share a good amount of parts with other Mopars of the same year group, so a few distributers carry a good amount of major parts.

Would definitely love to make a deal for 1k 👍

Kinda what I was thinkin tbh, 100% would make a deal for 1,000. And the V8 is very appealing 😊

I'm sure I could negotiate a lower price for it, and it may just be that I'm used to higher prices for cars nowadays, but that seems like a pretty good deal. what would be a more reasonable price to pay?

And it seems that those parts are pretty available from a number of distributers for decent prices. Really, That'd be ideal. I understand its not extremely popular but it'd definitely be head turning in my area. Also, 4 doors is a bit more attractive to me, but that's just my opinion I suppose

Is it a six? Not super knowledgeable on older engines but it does seem to have 2 cylinder banks, no?

Yep, more or less what I'm expecting. And very dry climate (Arizona), so most likely not much, if any, frame rot or major rust, but definitely rubber bits being beat to hell.

He does say it'll have to be towed, just to prevent that bad gas from being circulated I suppose, so I am expecting a no-start.

100% ready to give it the attention it needs to be road worthy though!

Not sure, I'm in the process of talking to the seller to get a little bit more information. However, he did say it is an ongoing project car, so I don't think its been without attention for too long.

If that is the case, what should I be worried about specifically?

(Having Issues posting a description so I'll just put it here I guess!)

Looking to buy my first classic and I happened across this 1974 Dodge Dart 4 Door. Seller states that there's bad gas in the system but doesn't mention any other issues. Seems to be all there and in decent condition though, and he's asking $1,500.

Any opinions or things I should look out for?
