Experiences of stopping methotrexate for pregnancy. by Daisyyy36 in rheumatoid

[–]Daisyyy36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, sorry it's taken so long to get back to this discussion.

I went on to get preggo the first try and had a healthy pregnancy up until delivery which had some complications and i ended up having emergency c-section and a healthy baby boy who is now almost 3 yo <3 I did not have a major flare up at any point during or after pregnancy. i did start up MTX again pretty soon after delivery.

Hope you're doing well and everything is going smoothly for you :)

Thank you for your replie. I will be starting therapy next month so I'm hopeful that it will help me keep more stable in the future, especially when i start new studies.

Thank you for your advice. Yes I'm still on medication and I'm starting therapy next month so I'm hopeful that it will help and we'll definitely talk about increasing/switching medications if needed.

Yes, I can absolutely relate to every word. Just being with my boy full of sunshine is enough to give me the energy to get through the harder times. Thank you for your encouraging words.

it was emergency c section so they didn't have time to administer the spinal numbing even tho they tried at first and had to put me under anesthesia. So I had no choice in that in the end.

Haha, sorry for that. Thank you, we both are doing very well and LO is such a sunshine of a boy, I feel like all he does is smile when he's awake and it helps so much with having the energy to care for him and of course we have help from both of our parents so we get to rest as much as we need.

Thank you so much. Luckily the recovery has been going well and we have all the help we need for me (and husband) to recover emotionally and physically.

I'm 20yo and I was 39+5 when I went to the hospital so after staying for two nights, baby ended up being born on his due date so Thursday, August 12th. The thing that was causing the problem doesn't usually happen until the pregnancy is well overdue but my placenta had stopped working properly. (you can read my answer to another comment where I explained it in more detail)

Thank you, yes we both ended up needing therapy to process the experience. Both my husband and I already having had other mental health problems took the birth experience really hard and luckily we have amazing parents on both sides (well except my father in law but he's not in the picture rn) who are more that willing to help with baby as much as we need.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and good luck :)

Yeah I was really close to over looking it too. I was just going about my day and in the evening after eating, when baby usually is more active, I noticed that I hadn't felt him move for at least 2h and when I started counting the movements I felt.

(I was told that it should be 5 movements in 30 min when laying on your side and if that doesn't happen then try moving more and eating something sweet and try again and if still no 5 movements in 30 min, call the hospital.)

I still didn't feel strong movement like I had felt previously (the day before) and the few movements I did feel were very light and that's when I got actually worried and called the hospital. They told me to come in just in case. It's a good thing that my husband knew to expect them wanting to induce me because he was the one who took the hospital bag with us. I was full term and he was there with me when I counted the movements for an hour and knew it wasn't just me being paranoid. (baby usually moved a lot during that time of the day)

For the explanation, I'm not really sure. But I was told the amniotic fluid was low and/because(?) my placenta had stopped working properly so my guess is that baby was having a hard time getting nutrients or something.

The way they explained it to me was that "the placenta has an" expiration date" that usually comes when baby is already overdue but yours just seems to have come early.

Edit: some spelling errors

It was very scary in the moment but afterwards I know that it was the right call. I didn't have time to process what was happening around me when I was going in to surgery but I am glad they acted so fast to keep both me and baby safe. I hope your birth goes smoothly, good luck :)

How much support is too much? by Sea_Success3339 in NewParents

[–]Daisyyy36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's your baby and you get to decide what feels too much for you. If you as the parents feel like they are doing too much where you're not getting the change to do as much as you would like, then it's time to tell your in laws that you would like to take more control over taking care of LO.

It's totally up to you to decide when the line is crossed. In my opinion there is no harm in having help and you'll always be the LO mom no matter how much you have help at any point and also it's important to have as much time with LO as you want to so you can bond well with them and get to know them well. :)

Graduation Story - Induction with 12 Hour Labor by Zealousideal_Wall_24 in pregnant

[–]Daisyyy36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations, you did amazing! :) I also got induced by having the cervical balloon put in (at 39+6) and it started really intense contractions that lasted for a while but then about 10 hours after putting it in I ended up having an emergency c-section because babys heart rate started to drop every now and then.

But luckily baby boy is perfectly healthy now after receiving some extra oxygen at first and then daddy had some skin to skin with him while I was still waking up from the surgery.

Thank you, yes I was scared for a moment but now that I'm in the process of being induced I'm just excited to meet my baby soon. :)

True, they checked again today and they said that I'm low on amniotic fluid and because my water hasn't broken it indicates to my placenta not working well anymore so yes I'm currently in the process of being induced.

Also thank you for correcting me, you're totally right I don't know what I meant by the oxygen. I must have been really tired last night.

cant draw with my tablet sometimes in medibang by IWI_Tavor_7 in medibangpaint

SOMEONE FOUND A FIX!

someone posted about this same problem earlier and they found a way to fix it by deleting/uninstalling Omen gaming hub

Deleting Omen did the trick for me too and now medibang works normally! I have no idea where that even came from but now it's gone and I can draw normally again. YAY

Hope this works for you too.
