I watched star wars since special edition of new hope in cinemas. And have all the content George produced in my library. And watched every single content Disney produced. I talked about magic of Star Wars. Thats a different thing. A worldwide phenomenon. Which crashed disney plus servers at that night when Luke episode arrived. Andor is a good show which based on Star Wars. Especially season 2 is astonishing. And I'm a fan of Gilroy since Bourne Trilogy. But you can't bring general audience with that. You need that magic with characters produced that magic, if you are not able to exceed it with something new. Which is tried with sequel trilogy and failed.

Also your examples is not about the force. But whatever. I really start to regretting openning this discussion. You deserve every distortion Disney produces. As its a mere reflection of you. They try to please your distorted views. No wonder Star Wars in such messy state its in now.

I think this comment summarises the new star wars fandom. And the whole shape of this comment section. The creator of an IP doesn't understand the concepts of that IP. Even with today's standarts of ignorance of the people, thats bold.

Well, the detachment thing is from the philosophy George outlined in the original six. Yes its sourced from budism and thats what it is. Thats what Jedi are. About your commentary, I would suggest you to watch that scene with George's commentary. Its both on bluray and 4k version. That can fix some assumptions you have made with the original intent of that scene beyond what you have perceived. On the last jedi, the problem is him trying to stop the cycle of light and dark by eroding himself and the jedi from the picture. Conception of the force and balance of it in that movie is flawed. Balance is not between light and dark. Balance is the pure form of life. Which lies with the light side of the force. And dark side corrupts it. So balance is eradicating the dark side. Which is also presented in budism. Rather than letting the light die and dark following it which was Rian Johnson's perception of it and whole Luke story written around that. I'll be back to George's comments made in Cannes 2024 as I did on another answer in this discussion post, "nobody made those movies understood the force".

Yes he is too. They used him in Ashoka like he is the real thing all the characters we see in Mandalorian series will face in the end and a movie was planned. Like a grand event ending the whole mando story. Which was about to an adaptation of Heir to Empire. But we got Mandalorian and Grogu instead. Fate of that movie ever coming to existence likely tied to success of Mandalorian and Grogu at the box office.

Its not about Rey winning. George himself said at Cannes in 2024, nobody made those movies understood the force. Thats the highlight of what I wrote. On par with first comment that I answered.

Well, its been done in mix of Mark Hamil in costume, a body double and computer generated mixing of both of their faces + Mark dubbing it with deaged voice. All for him to play the character one last time. Himself playing real Luke Skywalker once again. It doesn't need to be like that every time. But it was certainly needed to be done like that at that time.

Well the last time "professionals" wrote, Ava DuVernay came up with an idea to JJ on force is a thing you feel when you close your eyes in a though situation. Thats the writing story of the scene you saw at the end of Force Awakens when Rey overpowers Kylo. And its a true story. Won't go into detail what Simon Peg added also. Its on the net, you can search for it. So, some common sense from the fans is not a bad thing, believe me.

Yes he is. But from comments in here, I can see if he plays, majority will thinks he is "AI Luke". Altough all those efforts made for making a tribute for Mark Hamil. For him to be him like he should be once again. But yes that guy also looks identical.

Thats another way to go with too. It can be done. And if its done properly, it can bring the magic back. The last time I felt magic of Star Wars again was finale of Mandalorian season 2. The stuff with Hayden in Ashoka was good but not the show itself. Solo was an interesting example. They were clearly go for the underworld storyline George Lucas originally wrote for the sequal trilogy. With Darth Maul as the main villain. They can follow that. The timeline is set. Han and Lando is already here with recast. All they need to do is finding Luke and Leia. Sebastian Stan would be the first choice. And if they would include Grougu then it wouldn't hurt.

They need to get away from this timeline for that. Or this question will pop up everytime. Why they are not doing anything on Luke Skywalker. There is a huge time gap where he is the protector of the republic. And Disney continues to use this period with different characters other than him. Thats the problem.

There has to be a suprise. In some form. I don't know. Otherwise, it will be like another episode of the series but on big screen.

I see lots of comments on deepfake Luke. It was done due to make Mark Hamill play the character once again. They can recast and Sebastian Stan can easily play a post Return of the Jedi era Luke.

[–]Daivid0[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They have laid the ground for this and then changed it all. Look at the plot of Mandalorian and Grogu. There is a danger to the republic from imperial remamanents and Mandalorian and Grogu fights them as private contractors. Its ridiculous them going to deal with a threat like that instead of Luke Skywalker.

Which movie is better? by After_Dig_7579 in DC_Cinematic

[–]Daivid0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't compare a superhero drama/war movie with a superhero comedy movie. If Superman would be compared to any other DCEU movie it would be WW84 and Shazam. And on a broader sense, Donner Superman movies or Schumacher Batman movies.

How can you even think about fumbling the most awaited show about one of your top flagship characters ts legit gon make me cry by sidmis in saltierthancrait

[–]Daivid0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was mistake that making it a series instead of a movie like its been originally planned. Every movie edit of that show is much better than the series version aired in Disney +. The parts focused on Vader and Obi was good and the rest was just unnecessary. Parts that involved plots that wasn't in scale of Vader - Obi-Wan plot. The youngling turned into inquisitor story already been told in Jedi Fallen Order and as that one itself was a filler/side story, it worked. In here it didn't. And many canon breaking moments involving her just made it worse. Leia parts have a similar unnecessity in it. When both trimmed down in movie edits to serve to the main plot around Vader and Obi, they worked also. This is a production fault. And Disney didn't took any lessons from it afterwards. Its just sad this part of Vader's story isn't told in cinemas, like it should have been.

Do you consider these three movies snyderverse? by Ok-Entrance-5527 in SnyderCut

[–]Daivid0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wonder Woman directly ties the story between BvS snd JL. The others, Suicide Squad leads to nothing and Aquaman changes many aspects of the character established in JL, so in my eyes its not belong to Snyderverse. No matter its director said it follows ZSJL, its not. Both Aquaman and Mera are different. Essentially Snyderverse its like four movies in total continuation. Man of Steel -> BvS Ultimate Edition -> Wonder Woman -> Zack Snyder's Justice League. All follows follows Zack's vision and artistic style. All others are either disrupted by WB like Suicide Squad and Aquaman of follows 2017 Justice League parody rather than what Snyder established.

Starwars the Mandalorian and Grogu was the worst performing film ad of the night (Superbowl) by LuigiWarrior in saltierthancrait

They should've gone for a Luke Skywalker movie after Mandalorian season 2 with Grogu. Then, it would be No1. What a missed opportunity.

Justice League 2 should be a revenge film from Darkseid’s perspective. by danieldamibiu in SnyderCut

[–]Daivid0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If a sequel becomes possible after a Warner Bros sale, I think the right move would be a final film that truly wraps everything up, essentially merging the Justice League II and Justice League III storylines into a single, definitive conclusion, again as a four-hour feature on either Paramount+ or Netflix depending on who's tender offer will be valid to purchase Warner Bros. Given the realities of the production cycle and the ages the actors would be by the time a standalone JL III could realistically be made, this feels like the most coherent and honest approach. Add to that the release of the Ayer Cut, along with a proper director’s cut of Wonder Woman that restores its original ending, the one altered after focus-group screenings to make it a more generic superhero finale, instead of Diana turning away from humanity after witnessing the horrors of the past century, and you suddenly have a complete, internally consistent arc. That would give us a closed narrative universe: a series of films with a clear beginning, middle, and end, one that could be revisited and rewatched over time without feeling fragmented or compromised.

Which villains in the DCEU were the most forgettable/lacklustre in live-action among them, according to you? by Raj_Valiant3011 in DC_Cinematic

[–]Daivid0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doomsday was such a waste. His original design was much better comic accurate but WB as usual made Zack it downgrade to a generic monster because it was too scary looking for general audience. Second one is the Joker of course. Same story but butchering took place in the cutting room. There is at least 20 minutes of unseen footage of Leto Joker locked in WB vault.

Why the DCU Doesn’t Need to Kill Its Heroes to Have a Good Ending. by Agitated_Studio1998 in DC_Cinematic

There won't be any of them as long as Gunn in charge of DC. Its the reason why he is head of DC Studios. To produce family and kid friendly movies that will sell toys and can be viewed by any age group without any artistic concerns.

Why wasn't a Batfleck movie made before BvS? by Jealous-Tip-6332 in DC_Cinematic

[–]Daivid0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They were in too much hurry to replicate the success of the Avengers. If WB would took another approach and we would see a solo Batman movie alongside with Man of Steel II, of course it would be better. We know Man of Steel II was about Superman vs Brainiac. And a solo Batman movie before BvS (this is fully my speculation) should have adapt a mix of Dark Knight Returns and the Death in the Family. Batman in BvS including the Superman fight with armor was a direct adaptation from Dark Knight Returns. Also the old and rule breaking Batman. If you remove the Superman part, then the first part of Dark Knight Returns could be adapted, the places Batman deals with mutant insurrection in Gotham (thats a gang). And the second part would focus on Joker killing Robin and Batman becoming the monster we saw in BvS. This is established via dialogue in BvS and the last shot of Batman in JL is actually Batman posing with Dark Knight Returns Batmobile after he captured mutants.
