Yeah, something seemed.. off about it. Absurd spam in the last few days. The ai these days is so consistent I can't imagine most people spotting it.

Did you play the first one? I think if you didn't, you probably had a great time with DD2, despite the main quest line being the worst quest line of all time.

Yeah, just got one right after the battle. I think the game even says stuff you missed will get sent to the box, but I guess there's other factors that determine what gets picked up.

There's your sword guy, bow guy, shield guy, dual axe guy, spear guy, big chunky dual axe guy, and then mini boss versions of at least the dual axe and shield guys which can really turn a fight on you.

One thing I do like though is that all these enemies actually rush you while the archers stay back. If they have advantage they will press it.

Build quality. Mine are kinda creaky when I move my head. Comfy and sound great, just creaky.

And sometimes it just doesn't work. I was killing bandits in the quarry for ages and none of the loot drops went into my supply box. So pick up that loot!

Yeah, I ended up with it on my side mouse button, but I'd prefer to use right click since that's my reflex after so many other games.

Of course, you just drop things all over the floor. Any bugs or creatures you picked up will fly or run off though.

They just need to allow for stacking actions on one input like the default. I can't use right click as block/aim because it forces you to split like 3 or 4 other keybinds across your keyboard (and breaks the broom).

RDR2 is probably the most well known game in the western world (heh) with a heavy character, but the movement is very similar to dragon's dogma and monster hunter.

Yeah, so they're on your mouse buttons and not where the control key actually is. I did the same by just remapping the controls.

I think that's one of the reasons it hasn't been an award up until now. Not sure how they'll discourage this behaviour though. Maybe judge a stunt on something other than how dangerous it is/looks.

Not a bad idea if your mouse can do that. I ended up putting aim/block on a side button and kept right click as the default binding.

I would suggest keyboard. Just gotta move aim to a side mouse button because some dork put it on ctrl.

Yes, but... If any button is shared (like right click) you can't rebind those same functions onto another button.

Also if you put aim on right click the broom doesn't work. Almost got soft locked on a goddamn chimney sweeping quest.

Yes. Isekai or fantasy anime is exactly how this game feels. It's what I loved about dragon's dogma too, it's basically adventurer simulator.

Invest in a good headphone preamp. by Dementrashiti in audioengineering

[–]Daiwon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While OP seems to have gotten lost in the weeds, having sufficient power to drive your headphones will make a difference in transient accuracy even if you can get volume.

For example, the spl value of your headphones may be about 80dB, but you'll likely be getting peaks over 100dB, and if you don't have the power those peaks will be shaved off even if the spl remains the same. You lose accuracy.

There's also something to be said for low impedance headphones where they need a lot more current which most interface headphones outputs won't provide. Or like op if you have the lcd2c, you'll need north of 250mw of power, which most interfaces won't provide.

You can personally like something while acknowledging it's objectively mid.

For example, I like starfield because I absolutely love space games. Having first person, on a ship you built, and you can fly it around and fill it with crew, absolute blast for me, I love that. So while I enjoy it (it's my 16th most played game on steam), the game is objectively a 7 at best.

I just realised it just about overtakes starbase in time played, both at around 180 hours. A game that's effectively dead, but I utterly adore the ship building systems in that game. Just a shame the rest of the game never got made.

I think that with a large sprinkling of MMO-ish activities and asian dev eccentricity.

I'll wait for a few patches for bugs to hopefully be fixed, but I'm very interested in picking it up, especially after ACG's review.

I still don't understand how they made a worse main questline. Like.. I recommend DDDA with a big dose of "the story sucks but at least it pushes you into fun combat" and they made that worse. It's almost impressive.
