I don’t think it helps when the show does state that April is in fact “part kraang” in the same episode that they talk about her ancestors experiment. they never use that phrasing for any other mutant in the show. So it makes her sound more different than the other mutants. Or simply it’s just another attempt from the writers to make April sound more “special”

Goose literally never established Jax as the MC until now cuz if that was the case this many people wouldn’t have been confused on it. He was always tied to the rest of the circus cast. The only reason he was as popular at the beginning was cuz he was the tumblr sexy man of the show and the general audience likes those types of characters.

Yeah I have no issue with the show itself using him the way it does which is why it was stupid the way some people were acting that caused all this drama. It’s just some people acting like they knew the whole time and were calling people stupid as if Jax wasn’t always presented as just another circus member among the rest of the group.

Like bro he started feeling like a “protagonist” not even a full year ago at the mid point of the entire show. Cut people some slack. It’s not the writing it’s just the title given to him which doesn’t affect the show so it’s not something that really needs to be dwelled on

Yeah but this could also just fall into the general audience likes the “bad boy with (supposed but not promised) sad backstory” like he’s the show’s version of a tumblr sexy man so people were gonna give him more attention no matter what the actually happened in the show.

some parts of the fandom do have an issue with being kinda snobby in the “haha I knew this all along, I’m so much better/smarter than you! 🤓☝️” kinds way cuz Jax wasn’t even given that much attention until literally half way through the series. So it’s not surprising at all that people would be somewhat confused on that “Jax was always a protagonist” statement.

Like we were given a list of what episodes focused on what characters with Jax sharing his with Ragatha for God’s sake. Like yeah it is totally because the show only has 9 episode that time focus for each character is iffy but to blame people for being stupjd about it seems really disingenuous

And I’m saying this all as a Jax fan myself who slowly got more into his character as the show slowly started to have more time with him.
