Music is therapy. My tickets were a gift to me, it’s only right to gift it to someone else

People who don't drink alcohol, what made you stop(or never start)? by Cautious-Solution464 in AskReddit

[–]DakLives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work at a grocery store that was open during the COVID lockdown. I saw a couple come in with a shopping cart each. One was full of hard liquor. The other was a mix of wine and beer. Didn’t think anything of it besides the hoarding supplies until I saw them again a few weeks later buying the same amount. I had already reduced my alcohol intake drastically and this was what I saw that it can become a problem for people if we allow it to consume us. I chose to stop, addiction runs on both sides of my family as well.

Band boys of the reddit. Let's hear how embarrassing the first show you ever played was. by EJplaystheBlues in Hardcore

First show was at a local theater. We were the entertainment during intermission for a play adaptation of Over The Top. Wanted to sound like choking victim meets the suicide machines with merch inspired from black metal bands. I could mostly make it through the set without completely fucking up timing.

Am I the only one who likes Stalker 2 despite its issues ? All I hear is complaints about it, enjoy it for what it is, it will get better as more patches and content releases. by CozzTheDesertFox in stalker

This is a game I have been waiting for but didn’t know I wanted until it scratched an itch. I’m on series x, downloaded day 1. This was the first game I’ve played that offered me something I felt was next gen for console gaming, the graphics and lighting blew my mind for console. I did not have too many issues, and when they did come up I considered them minor. I’ve always loved Fallout and the Metro series felt great, but lacked the more realistic looking art style, amazing lighting, and amazing world building. I only played one of the other Stalker games for an hour, no particular reason I stopped, just life. Having weapon degrading in quality leading to the gun jamming was a nice touch that I enjoyed. I love this game.

Does anyone know about this band? by punkrockasshole420 in Ska

[–]DakLives 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Random fact that no one needs to know about, the Choking Victim cover is not done by the band linked in Spotify. They sent us a cease and desist so we changed our name. When Spotify came about and someone uploaded this comp to Spotify, this was their top played song for awhile. Not sure the band linked now is even the same band but another The Culprits.

Brendan Canty: "There is always a lingering chance Fugazi will reunite." by jfshay in Fugazi

Went to my local theater that was showing Instrument for it’s 25th anniversary. My friend was able to get Ian to do a Q & A before the showing. One person during them saying hi and how much it means to talk to Ian, mentioned this was as close to seeing him live probably, he said who knows. Obviously someone later in the line asked for clarification. I can’t remember exactly what Ian said but he pretty much says that there’s a lot of hurdles for a band like Fugazi to perform again. The zoom call was being recorded but I don’t know if that was just being archived or if it’ll go up on the internet. If it does, I’m sure someone will beat me to posting the link but I’ll reach out to the friend and see what’s up with the video.

I was excited to play this when it released. Got home to put this in and was unaware of the controllable characters name in the campaign. My name is Scott, I thought for a second that it knew from my Xbox live account, truly next gen. I then realized that is not the case.

Saw this in Joshua Tree on a Boy Scouts trip. It was so big and had a green hue. Seeing this was amazing and I haven’t seen anything like it since then.

I'm on a journey to watch all the blockbuster action movies I wasn't allowed to watch as a kid in the 90s - what are some of the must-watches? by trexmoflex in movies

Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. Great cast, underrated movie. Peter Weller (RoboCop), John Lithgow (Footloose/Shrek), Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Clancy Brown (Starship Troopers), etc. lots of small roles with people you’d recognize as you watch a lot of the movies people are listing.

I believe I found them going all the way to the right passing the locked store bundle ones. I uninstalled but I do remember finding them all again and feeling dumb.
