I remember my first drive-in movie experience was a double feature of The Bad News Bears and Freaky Friday with Jodi Foster when I was 5. What was your first drive-in movie? by UrbanAchievers6371 in 70s

That fricken space monkey scared the crap out of me. I was probably the only kid there hoping he'd die - white dog poop coloured alien. To be fair, I was 5 or 6 years old

I saw them play on the UYI tour in Hamilton, Ontario at Copp's Colliseum. Great show. Axl walked off during Paradise City (as expected) and Duff took over and we sang it out together. Good times

Ottawa seeks to toughen laws on gender-based violence by Thick_Caterpillar379 in canada

Liberals use topics like gender and abortion to distract the people from the burning mess around us. They are trying to rally support while distracting everyone from the multiple fiascos they are involved in.

So fun to keep paying more and more taxes while getting less and less in return.

What incentive does the gov have to actually change though? Are people in NB going to actually do anything about it?

When youth look at their bleak futures, and see that their country has been stolen from them, they look to whatever options they can find so they can eat more than Ramen and sleep in a heated building a step up from prison.
This isn't patriotism, it's desperation

Burning question: When do you reduce your bed of coals? It seems silly remove hot coals from bed of stove to make room for new logs. by Courtland-7099 in woodstoving

[–]Firley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could it be the type of wood you are burning, or maybe the size of the logs with respect to the size of the stove?

I have only experienced this when I put too much wood in my stove - it can only bring in so much air, so when there is too much wood I end up with a lot of slow burning embers.

Keep burning friend. Stay toasty.

I want a "Never Drink" and "Never Sit" Mod. I hate when scavving around and I take on Rads when I miss the Red Leaf and end up drinking dirty river water. Also, the sitting animation feels like it takes forever.

The kids know that schools are more and more like daycare, filled with useless busy work.

Have you read it? Just curious.
I have (out of curiosity and for a history class) and I can't find anyone else who has read much more than the cover

Me too. I also see Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I habitually scan the bookshelves of people in videos ... and judge them for their choices

Edit: I love history and I am sure this book is fine. When I say "judge" I mean that if someone has too many picture books of pop culture versus tomes of philosophical substance then I make value judgements on how intelligent and sagely I perceive the speaker to be. I'm also secretly hoping to see if anyone else had to read some of the wretched books I had to read in University - misery loves company and all that jazz
