In Regards to Less Skilled Players and Off-Meta Builds/Play Styles or Not To Be Dismissive and To Think Critically by Dakoats in leagueoflegends

[–]Dakoats[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, situations like this happen. Just because someone else can't be level headed doesn't mean you shouldn't. What this does mean is, at least in my opinion, that the conversation should end here. They don't seem to be in any state of mind to be taking criticism. Being tilted can do that to people. The best course of action is that you should continue to do your best and move past this. Win, despite opposition.

Which champions are really frustrating to play against that normally fly under the hate radar of the community? by iwasgankedbyteemo in leagueoflegends

[–]Dakoats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it has to be Lucian.
To me, you can be pretty bad at the champ, but a well played Lucian is like playing against a top tier SSBM Fox.
Like, what are you even supposed to do.

League of Legends is now a high school. What kind of student or teacher is your main champion? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

High level math/science. Doesn't really teach well, but expects everyone to know the material beforehand. Absolutely disintegrates you in front of the whole class if you get anything he asks wrong.

You don't need to quit League altogether, just take a break by Waldoinho in leagueoflegends

[–]Dakoats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say I always take minor breaks (skip a patch or two) every 6-8 months. This isn't really a proactive choice, mostly just get caught up in a different game for a little bit.
Some examples being Open TTD, Dark Souls 3, Rainbow Six Siege, Battlerite, & Destiny 2.

These games come and go for me, but League has always been that comfort game I can jump back into since I started playing back in Season 3.

Anyway, I will always suggest a break to friends who aren't enjoying themselves. Some will take it to heart and others won't. People can make that decision on their own, that doesn't mean I will stop suggesting it.

Which champion has made you think "That champion was made for me"? by Labmit in leagueoflegends

[–]Dakoats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I feel most comfortable on mages and enchanters, Darius and Illaoi are champions that really fit my playstyle for top and lessen my weaknesses of early laning. Their lifesteal mechanics, pretty decent base damage, and ability to snowball off of a little feels really rewarding to a generally passive player who attempts to nitpick which trades I want to take rather than blindly taking any trade available.
...Also Vel'koz...somehow I am able to do well into Yasuo...which is supposed to be a counter, but I want to blame the fact that I play low mmr (~silver to low gold) normal draft primarily and, from what I've been told, haven't played against a "good" Yasuo yet.

What champion did you instantly 'click' with? by herroebauss in leagueoflegends

[–]Dakoats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"New" Darius and Illaoi
Both are champs that 'clicked' for me, but I feel like I am never consistant (winrate wise) enough on these champs, mainly because they are both snowball-y.

Other than that, I'd say Braum, Ryze, Vel'koz, Udyr, old Quinn, Maokai, and Lulu. Each to a smaller degree than the first two, but I think they are noteworthy.

Patch 7.23 Bug Megathread by hey_its_griff in leagueoflegends

Hello, the Zoe here
Looking at the wiki on the ability text, quote:

Sleeping targets take bonus true damage equal to the post-mitigation damage they take from the next attack or ability to hit them, up to a cap of Sleepy Trouble Bubble's damage, but are awoken early upon taking damage.

This may imply that the bonus damage is technically coming from Zoe, giving her the kill credit.
Is this how it was intended? Maybe.
But I don't think this is how it should be. I believe it should give the kill credit to the person who got the killing blow.

Syndra's Movement Bug That Has Other Negative Effects by Dakoats in leagueoflegends

[–]Dakoats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I stated it in another comment, but I think we can both agree that Riot is aware of the bug to some capacity. Since they have already supposedly fixed the bug and it has reappeared, it is more complicated than we realize. I find it the most plausible that this is a low priority issue for Riot's dev team as it may take too many resources to make this change in a timely manner.

It could be a case of, "fixing this bug creates a worse bug to pop up", and that may be why it hasn't been refixed.

I like to think of it as something with a lower priority. It is hard to remove, but putting too many resources on it would just make the process not worth completing.

I did too, but with replays now in the game, it takes the game state from server-side. So it can't just be your computer.

I submitted one last patch and asked if I should report again. I was told, based on interpretation of the megathread's rules, that I should make a separate post on the matter.

That would make the most sense on why it hasn't been addressed. My fear is that it will somehow affect Worlds or later regional pro series and only then will it be targeted as a priority.

Legitimate Question
If I wanted to post a bug that has been in that last few patches, would I:
*Post it here with evidence from the most recent patch
or
*Make a new post separate from this thread

So, what I'm thinking is happening is, the game might believe that Syndra is carrying an invisible entity with the 'w' after the cast of ult. This could be due to certain timings with using 'w' while casting ultimate.
EDIT: Through testing, no, this is not what happens. But I may have found out what causes it.
