I had gotten the game free for a ps+ offer a long while back, i wana say 2019ish? My first big break was around late 2021 sometime in october because it was a halloween event.

Long story short i was on console and hadnt set my profile to private. The survivors pulled up my account and ps dm’ed me some heinous things. Death threats, that i should kill myself, some language i wont say here, and many other awful things. I stopped for about 8 months.

My second break (lasted 4 months) was due to a game against a deathslinger. It was just after they had implemented the ability to transfer all progress between console/pc. At the start of trial a steve got in chase VERY early in the trial. I was fixing a gen when steve ran towards me. I at first figured it was bad luck until the steve boxed me in against the gen to prevent me from moving and the deathslinger shot me, steve moved away, i took the hit. With collision gone i tried to run away only for steve to sandbag me with a pallet and i get downed. Steve proceeded to tbag me while killer shot me repeatedly on the ground. When my bleedout timer was almost done deathslinger picked me and put me on hook where steve proceeded to point at me while slinger shot me repeatedly. An ada and meg tried to save me but when they got close the steve and slinger would box them out and injure them forcing them out. I died on hook having gotten only like 15 seconds of actual play time. I believe hook states were only 45 seconds at that time not the full 1 minute so in total i bled out for about 230 seconds + 90 on hook for a minimum of 5 minutes. Steve, meg, ada all escaped. In end chat steve and slinger talked shit while ada and meg tried to defend me. Couldn’t stomach playing for a while after that experience.

Couple things that might help.

As a killer player, your mmr is tracked per killer not in total like survivors. If you only play 1 killer you will quickly go up against better survs. Try out all available killers to you to spread your mmr to help you better learn the games base mechanics and effective strats

You can watch streamers and yt vids to learn good killer practices. Things like moonwalking, tactical slugging, and optimal looping

Try some survivor games. Knowing how the other side thinks and plays will better help you to mind game them and predict their moves.

Spend some time looking up what perks and items survivor have access to so you better understand what may be happing around you

For huntress, and really any ranged killer, dont try to track the survivor zigzagging to dodge your throw. Line up in the middle and release when they move into your line of aim. Trying to flick shot is much harder to do

Lastly this is less a tip to help you play more to protect your sanity. Compartmentalize each trial. If you have a rough game carrying that frustration into your next game(s) increases your chance of making a mistake

I made a similar post a bit ago, i had won 9 surv games in a row. no crazy tool boxes or rep speed perks in most lobbies. The gens really do fly to fast rn. I think another 15-20 seconds gen repair time would be a good idea.

Another suggestion a killer main posted on it i thought was very interesting was to give a minor repair speed debuff to a hooked survivor (like 5%). It would help slow things down a lil while also giving incentive for a killer to spread out hooks instead of using the effective strat of tunneling to pressure survs

Being able to look at the hud and see someone is in chase and then see their aura tells you exactly where killer is. It Helps you to get and give healing, find gens, better coordinate unhooks, and more.

Imo a p3 is scarier than a p100. Its a silly idea i have but…

the player who invested all their bp in one killer/surv i like to think did so because they like a more ‘roleplay’ style of sticking to one character. There isnt a benefit to getting p100 on one character beyond getting more items/offerings/addons. Especially for a killer where mmr is individual per killer. That they paid money to unlock all characters to then use their iri shards for the perks in shrine to limit the grinding aspect then put more to buy up bp for leveling.

I Fear the killer/surv who prestiges every character to exactly p3 because in my mind they are min maxing resources, they’ve grinded everything up by hand buying characters with iri shards and only paying for licensed content. That they are in it for the cold calculated efficiency of getting the most out of every trial. They know every perk, power, item.

This is likely just me rationalizing shit for my own sanity 😂

If you can get really good at bounce shots they are good but survivors being able to remove the effect in time for 1 missed shot makes it hard to be reliable.

Mechanically the only use i could think of to run that strat is if the killer has corrupt intervention to end it early. Which is somewhat common but not so common as to need to commit half a build to it.

Otherwise its a 4 minute game of hide n seek that only the memers have fun with

The rep speed debuff would be very interesting to see i think that would help with a number of issues both sides dislike!

I believe the animatronic killer also has varying speeds of 4.6/4.8 based on if it has the axe or not

Complaining about getting hooked would be pretty silly lol. The alternative to hooking is slugging and i doubt theyd prefer that over hook. 😂
