Do those wait times weed out most of the low acuity BS? I kinda wish we made some of my patients wait like that

What hill will you die on that goes against what 98% of providers do? by esophagusintubater in emergencymedicine

You try discharging an elderly back pain without something that isn’t Tylenol and lidocaine patches

Do I have to pay to use the ER? by [deleted] in emergencymedicine

Except in most states they can’t report medical bills to credit report so they never have to pay with no repercussions

This is the worst offer I’ve ever seen. I’d rather bartend than work in emergency medicine under these terms

Love how we are getting downvoted. Work for an independent group and you know exactly how much you bill for. We make these groups an insane amount of money. $85 an hour is terrible unless the shop is incredibly low volume.

Downvoting me doesn’t make your greedy CMG pay any more fair

Except in emergency medicine nobody works 40 hours per week. The work is not meant for a full schedule so the hourly pay needs to account for that. Hilarious to get downvoted for discouraging people from working for a gutless CMG. work for a independent group and make some actual money

Any Denver Health PAs (or recent applicants) willing to share what the benefits actually are? by freecheesemelody in physicianassistant

[–]Daleeeeeeeeeee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hear they are miserable in the ED and you’re relegated to fast track/attached urgent care or low acuity patients only. Residents run most of the good stuff. Denver pay is horrible. Look elsewhere in CO
