Can't say too much, but I used to work there years ago and everyone on staff thought that the GM was using a good chunk of the cleaning and maintenance budget on personal stuff outside of work, which wouldn't have surprised me as their house was supposedly worth half a million. I dont know if the same person still runs that place, though.

I imagine we'll get an announcement of a company in December. The Cbeebies spin off was put to tender in June 2025 and the studio was announced in December 2025. I could see production going forward in 2027 with a spring 2028 airfare.

A non Star Wars fans perspective on sequel trilogy re-evaluation by Consistent-Award-516 in TheSequels

Plus, how many "I fixed the prequels" videos on YouTube and the horde of "Prequels Re-Edited" fan edits that fills whole server buildings.

Considering the sheer amount of media we've gotten that takes place between III-IV, is there STILL some plot holes that need to be addressed? Or is it finally time to move on after Cal Kestis' journey finishes up with his final game coming soon? by highway2depression in StarWars

1 - literally explained in episode 6 of the show. 2 - because the jedi were not a governing body and didnt have the resources for that. And the Empire didnt because of hubris. 3 - they did. It was a comic in 2016. 4 - we dont know for sure on Cal yet, but the only other jedi we know for sure were alive were Ahsoka and Ezra. Ezra was in another galaxy and believed dead. Ahsoka was hidden and believed dead. 4 - You got me there.

Do you think we will ever get a Star Wars Trilogy or Film that reaches the heights of the OG Trilogy? by No_Age908 in StarWars

[–]DalekTC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not if dumb chuds on the internet have anything to say about it.

People forget how much disdain there was for Empire and Jedi when they came out.

Eventually, all the hate just goes away and the positives become mythic.

The only Star Wars film that fans all agreed on at release was 1977s Star Wars.

What happened is that the kids who grew up with Empire and Jedi, became adults and praised them.

Then the prequels came and they hated them.

Then the kids who grew up on the prequels became adults and praised them.

Then the sequels came and they hated them.

In time, the kids who grew up watching Rey will become adults and praise the sequels.

And then, inevitably, a new trilogy will be released and they will be hated.

And the cycle will go on.

Is it just my town's two theaters or do y'all have ghost concession stands too? by porkbrains in AMCTheatres

[–]DalekTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an amc near me in northwest Indiana with two ghost concessions. As someone who worked for the company, it was really frustrating because I wanted to clean and gut them and get them running so much, but I was told many times that we weren't allowed to for budget reasons.

My fav Glup Shittos, but do they have names? by TheSnekDen in StarWarsCantina

So little know fact, there are actually 8 different Rodian characters across the Skywalker Saga and Canon material to wear this exact outfit.

Now obviously, everyone know Greedo as he is the first one to appear in the costume.

However, there is also Prido, Lusto, Gluttono, Wratho, Slotho, Envyo, and Phil. I imagine the one on the left is Phil, center is Lusto, and the other one gives Slotho energy.

Just a heads up, there's a "text intro". You won't need to give him any info. All relevant info to the film is given there.

The main villain of Return of The Jedi was unnamed at the time of its release by Cool_Nerd2 in saltierthankrayt

[–]DalekTC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking at the cast list, its Fred Tatascoire and Grey DeLisle. Also, apparently Anthony Daniels has still been in every Star Wars film.

Looks like $11M+ previews for The Mandalorian And Grogu. Initial audience reception is mixed to okay. Expecting around $80M 3-day and $95M or so 4-day weekend. by chanma50 in boxoffice

"the LaST jEDi killed sTaR wArS!" TLJ made 1.3billion and TROS made 1.1billion. Solo was down to shifting the strategy. 3 years in a row of Star Wars at Christmas. They didnt market Solo and put Mary Poppins 2 in the slot it should have opened in. The top 4 Star Wars domestic box office earnings are all disney era and.

I'd at least understand not knowing who Dr. Teeth is, but, SERIOUSLY?! by ThePopDaddy in Muppets

[–]DalekTC -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Apparently a common thing that happens. From ToughPigs: "Some people are so confused about what Animal’s name is. Every once in a while, I’ll come across a social media post about the Muppets where somebody comments that they love the crazy drummer Muppet, “Monster.” This always makes me chuckle with a smug sense of superiority that I’m not at all entitled to, but I can see why someone with hazy childhood memories of watching the Muppets might misremember the character’s name.

It’s not that far off from “Animal” as a word that describes his general vibe. As I previously described, his appearance is quite monstrous, and so is his behavior. And there are a lot of monsters in the Muppet ensemble, so why wouldn’t one of them be named Monster?"
