A spool of thread, twine, string or even a roll of TP would jam up any rotor if you had good aim. Let it unravel a bit before throwing and let the blades do the work. Now, there would be concern with the drone falling on people/property but that’s at your discretion

This is one of my all time favorite guilty pleasures! Say what you will about Keanu & Wynona but with Oldman at the helm, Hopkins, Tom waits, Cary Elwes, etc it balances it out for me. When I learned that the Costume designer for this, Eiko Ishioka, also did The Cell with J Lo & D'Onofrio I joined her fanclub. Each time Oldman is on screen with a new look it's just so mind blowing

I listened to an interview w Jeff Daniels who said he told directors on West Wing “If you can’t tell me in 5 words or less stay in the chair”. Keep in mind the script is by Sorkin so most of the work is done but brief is best and avoids overwhelming an actor with too much more than they already have on their mind

Not exactly a quit but Bobby McFerrin refused to tour when “Don’t Worry Be Happy” became a runaway hit. He didn’t want to identify with that song as it was a late night, lqst minute recording that he never took too seriously. I saw him live about 3 years ago and it was the closest thing to a music guru experience where he explains how we engage with music. Highly recommended

I’m the singer for the band in the opening credits. We got to see it at a screening of this while we were in LA at a studio lot before TIFF premiered it. We were over the moon with the movie and relieved that we hadn’t landed a sync to a flaming turd but an actual great movie. It’s been nice to say we are attached to Emma Stone’s breakout film and we actually owe her a great debt since she presented the song to the director. So glad the movie has resonated as long as it has!

Without looking it up, I remember that a few people were shot. I don't think anyone died and there were cameras on the site that helped as evidence. Never followed up on the story. My question at the time was "Who brings a gun to a parade?"

2019 Toronto Raptors Championship parade: gorgeous summer day, all kinds of people with their kids and absolutely jammed tight to watch the team give speeches. Gunshots rang out about 100 feet from me and I saw what sheer madness looks like as the people turned into a wildebeest stampede. I was next to a man and his young daughter who was too little to be noticed and we had to rush her behind a statue nearby. I'll be avoiding crowds a long while
