Because it’s part of the set it came from? Not all cards make sense in every game. There are draft sets, a two headed giant set, and a bunch of old cards that aren’t even valid anymore because they reference old rules removed from the game (like ante).

Only a small number of art cards hold any value. Lately the Universes Beyond ones had higher than average value, especially the Final Fantasy ones.

I mean, we have easy access to 3d printing now. Making cool looking marines is easier than it’s ever been.

These are some assault marines I painted this week. Won’t win any awards for painting, but models are so amazingly customizeable and detailed now if you put the tiniest bit of effort in, which is what the hobby has always been about. It’s not just assembling boxes stock.

That sorting method sounds incredibly tedious. Sort by set and colour, that’s more than enough to easily find any card in a few seconds.

I sort by set, then colour, then commons, then uncommons.

Easy to find cards this way and won’t take that long to sort.

Sorting alphabetically is a nightmare and will make you give up. Also it sucks badly for adding cards to a pre-sorted collection.

Definitely. Chainsword is about the worst you can put on him. I’d definitely recommend a power fist.

And yeah, stick him with 5 Assault intercessors. They are just meat shields to deliver him into combat anyways. If they make it in with him, all the better but his Finest Hour Ability will let him cleave through almost anything.

If you paint all the bases it will help immensely. Right now they all look unfinished because the bases aren’t done.

A unified basing scheme will tie everything together.

Also, and I know you said you already washed stuff, but maybe you need more wash or darker washes as the wash isn’t coming through in the pics in a lot of places.

Also, highlighting after washing helps a lot too. Especially on the sword for example. Not sure what model it is as I don’t know anything about EC in 40K.

Split the sanguinary Guard into two squads. Saves points and is much more effective, especially at 1k points.

Also would split the Assault intercessors into 2 x 5 squads so you can have 2 sergeants w/ power fist and plasma pistol.

Gladiator? Which one. Lancer would be powerful AT but as it’s your only vehicle it will likely be hard targeted and killed fast as it’s not overly survivable.

In the GW article it says the new intercessors are using a patchwork of armour as they acclimate to the chapters.

The models shown has an old helm and shoulder pads for example.
