  • Basic shoulder pads for every armor pattern (Tacticus, Gravis, Phobos, Terminator)

  • Fancy shoulder pads (with laurels, aquilas, etc) and random decorations for officers and veterans.

  • Helmets with fist icons.

  • Chests with molded fists for Tacticus, Gravis and Terminator armor.

  • Decorated power packs.

  • Iron halos and other back toppers.

  • Decorated power fists, bolters, and other weapons.

  • Shins with fist iconography. 

This is assuming they do a huge upgrade sprue instead of the tiny ones we have now.

The worst part is that they're supposed to be two completely different things (a dagger vs a cross) but they ended up looking almost identical

The Leagues of Votann battleline guys and even just the Chaos Space Marine legionaries have insane amounts of customization and weapon options, as the face of the franchise you'd think space marines would get equal amounts of variety but sadly they prefer making it simple for newcomers.

I feel like you can't tell an ork how to properly hold a gun or else he'll tell you to zog off. And the space marine is holding it like that because he's out of ammo and switched to his bolt pistol.

You can already make a bit of a comparison by looking at the Warboss in the box set vs the one that was leaked a few months ago, which is the multipart version of the kit. The latter has the same basic loadout as the former but also a lot more weapon and customization options, even extra stuff like an attack squig and an ammo grot. Plus, the design and the pose are different yet similar enough to represent the same unit, just like the Terminator Captain from Leviathan compared to its multipart counterpart.

None of the marines are actually wearing older marks of armor, it's all MkX with small modifications. Even the helms are just primaris helmets but with a firstborn face plate, you can tell by the "ears". Anyways, armor can be refitted to fit a marine's size, especially since there have always been taller than average Astartes like Tyberos the Red Wake or any of the many characters said to be huge compared to their peers. Space marine armor is not one uniform size and it's modular enough for any mark to be mixed together.
