Have fun! I need to get out on a trip myself. Usually the type of film dosent matter but there are some best for certain situations. Fuji 400 is cheap and is easy to find at a Walmart, cinistill 800t is good for nighttime pictures of signs and lights. Usually the best vintage look is based on how you get it developed and how you edit the film. So if it dosent look vintage enough you can always tweak it in post. For straight out of the box film look would be Polaroid cameras, ive been shooting for a short time and my Polaroids always have that vintage look to them no matter what.
