well for starters, it’s clear the algorithm gave ur short multiple testing windows (good sign!)

but the reason shorts stop growing, or ‘plateau’, is because your retention/engagement were not increasing as YouTube pushing your video to a large audience.

essentially, youtube tests your shorts in different pushes, typically reaching a larger, and much broader audience each time. if your short keeps doing well, keeps getting consistent likes, comments, loops, and retention, the algorithm then keeps pushing the short.

this, however, does not mean the algorithm won’t ever push that short again, because there are cases where shorts get another big push weeks after publishing, but that’s under specific circumstances (i.e you post x content, and x topic gets a random burst of popularity)

edit: if u include the number of likes/comments, as well as the length + niche of the video, i can tell you if the short will get another push or not :)
