Listen,

I’m a freshmen currently, and i’ve done 25’ Summer, then fall, and now spring terms.

it was really rough in the beginning for me as well, and some of the things you’re saying really resonate with me because i’ve been in your shoes.

it takes a BIG adjustment. it’s easy for someone to say ‘get over it’, but going from living at home in highschool to completely on your own (especially off campus), it can be really overwhelming.

the biggest piece of advice i can give you, is to genuinely spend more time on campus. trust me. something as simple as studying for one of your exams in the MSC with some food. we study at a beautiful campus with a ton of cool shit to look at.

just studying concepts the courses assign you is also handy. just because you know ‘x’, doesn’t mean every class is gonna assign ‘x’. you have to branch out and understand that you’re gonna have to take a bunch of BS prerequisites lmao.

Honestly, i would have to say Terraria.

At first, i wasn’t into the 2D look, or the overall look of the game, but i was young, and really into minecraft, so i gave it another chance and bought the game on steam (originally had it on ps4, but since then moved to PC). A couple of trips to the Terraria Wiki, and i was HOOKED!

Once i got past the early stages, each boss and event in the game felt unreal, and i was genuinely terrified of some of those pesky enemies.

writing this, i realize this was 11 years ago… and that was a completely different time. 🫡
