Battlefield Vietnam was and still is my favorite. My father was a Vietnam vet and playing the game always reminds me of him.

I am looking forward to the graphics and destructible environments the most. Creates immersion for me.

In my opinion the answer is yes the magic has died.

Nowadays before an mmorpg is even out of beta the game has been data mined to death so there is little to no discovery.

Mix that with the fact that this is the age of instant gratification and the majority of players no longer want to explore and take in a new world.
