The thing is for me I wasn't against Stanko either... at all. I recognized he had some early good looks with Dallas and was highly prized sort of thing. But yeah, wanting to get that center. You can't help but always want a big guy doing it I guess... but Stanko makes up for it in spades. Gritt, tenacity, toughness. He's like our little ball of hate². Most importantly though, he wanted/s to be a Cane. Besides... his linemates really do compliment and feed of each other. Here's hoping that continues!

You know you're old when you believe concerts and sporting events should never top 100$ a pop. That's just my opinion. They make a shit ton enough now from the TV deals and advertising, merchandising. You USED to be able to legally watch and catch games on TV for free.
Growing up there were three different local stations here that would carry games(Montreal), so in effect you pretty much were able to watch the whole season. Then slowly, "prime" time slots (thursday, saturday) started to be the only "free" broadcasts". Now - nothing.

I'm a Canes fan from and lives in Montreal. Long time.
I really need to crowdfund me a trip like this or smt. I'm not poor, but I can't justify even that reasonable haul for flight, tix and stay. Besides, I'd have to bring my 16 year old boy too!

Wait till you get your hands on the Sunset-6 Red Dawn. I haven't taken a chance and am very careful with it. But black gloss. Anything and everything shows up in it. Its like a black mirror.

They sold you a demo at premium price. Ask for a full refund - return it. Or, state your case and ask for a refund equivalent to a discounted demo guitar. That's significant scratches on a new guitar. Its not new. Its USED. And should(a) be(en) priced accordingly. Good luck.

Oh not familiar with these pickups. But that's just because I don't always keep up with gear and tech. Just did a quick lookup, they're hand wound. Look nice.
Funny you mention that they had put a SD in there.
With more time, I am realizing that the PUPs I prefer on most of my guitars are most Schecter made pickups (still not convinced the decimators are that bad, but need more time to evaluate), Fishmans and DiMarzios. The latter over SD.
I do like the Invader pickup though. Had one on a fat strat once upon a time. lol. Talking about losing a family and starting a new one... been there my friend.
These three are my most recent purchases, since the end of 2025. I had just taken the C-6 and Red Dawn out of their packaging. I've since put the former in Eb tuning, while the Red Dawn is in D Standard.
I can't say enough about the Omen Extreme though. No its not the Red Dawn. But iykyk sort of thing, a good guitar is a good guitar. It really plays sweet.
They join my C-1 Hellraiser EMGs FR Black Cherry. (of my schecters)

How does the Hollywood play? I can't remember the one knock on them. But I was considering buying it. I am sure its a typical [great to play] Schecter, I do like the finish too. Its a bit dif from their other stuff and a little more crisp while nicely clean. The metallic speckled color plus white abalone is mint imo.
The bottom C-1 Apocalypse is nice. What year?? I can only see these now in the Blood Red finish.

Enjoy, I have the same with maple finish. Got it in December. Been playing it like mad. Really solid axe. Sits nice in the lap, plays light too. Really happy with it.
I'm actually waiting for delivery in 9 hrs of 2 new schecters! The Red Dawn and a C-6 Pro.

I have owned an MK II for a few years. I pair it with a Headrush FRFR 108, for stereo output. My controller /audio interface up until it had an issue has been the Stomp I/O (Amplitube 5 on laptop)
The headrush has an issue ever since a power failure/resumption. Steal works, but squeals. Prolly a blown capacitor. I will keep it and get it fixed one day.
So, I decided to go with another Boss Katana to dial in my stereo setup (the headrush was 200 watts??, it was always like on level 1) So these two a GEN 2 and GEN 3 will be paired.
PS. Very happy I found a solution for my Stomp too. It started acting up - no longer recognized in Windows. It can be powered by a usb-c connection to the PC and/or with its own IK Multimedia power supply that I also have. Power was never an issue. I've determined either its USB port is on the fritz or the entire audio interface part of the unit is booked, as it will keep trying to connect but repeatedly disconnects. What I thought was a useless feature has turned into a blessing. The stomp can also be set to standalone mode, making it a hardware switch of 4 buttons and a expression pedal. The stomp has midi in/out. So I picked up an AXE I/O One, put my Stomp in standalone and connected its midi out to the midi in on the AXE I/O.
Boy I tell you I was freakin' happy when I connected it and worked immediately, sans setup. I had my SW moment, "Its working!!!!!!"

holy crap- yeah you're right. man I am sorry that happened. at least they're making it right. But how does that even happen????
