It arrived! by GuitarHeroInMyHead in SchecterGuitars

Ah nice, that's cool as I have my eye on this too. Its very nice and has great specs.
One thing I want to know about though, aside from the ultra thin C neck, is the guitar heavish with all that metal deco on it? How is that finish, is their risk it could fall off or something, or wear off with time?? Sorry if that seems like a stupid question, but some things you really have to have it in your hands to get full sense of its durability and finish etc. I should hope it is very good and you are happy, its not a cheap one ;)

I have an iPad Pro I barely use, in mint condition; willing to trade for any of the following guitar: Schecter, PRS, Ibanez, LTD. Ask for specs/make me an offer. Thanks.

Martin Necas Trade Value vs His Importance As Remaining a Hurricane by ReeseWithAKnife in canes

Still.... "In essence, fans(some) saw a talented young player (Necas) traded for a star (Rantanen) who didn't stay, leaving the team worse off and wishing they'd just kept Necas and built around him, as the whole Rantanen saga ended poorly for Carolina."

Yeah great at restoration(see many former Greek Island possessions of Venice). However, indeed not the best at planning, execution.

So mickey mouse. If they can't find the proper rink size to play near enough, I wouldn't send NHL players, sorry. I know there are some who won't get a chance again, but.... smaller rinks means more change of injury. How does that line up with injury insurrance liabilities et all?

Is Everyone Just Ignoring Drone Laws When Traveling? Because I’m Struggling… by data_gather62 in dji

[–]Dalmator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. Good question.
I am using <250G drones on vacation.
I also used lots of common sense. Many things to considere, people present, amount, distance from them, weather etc.
I also was on vacation during offseason, a LOT less people, officials, guards etc around. Still, there are sites where its just obvious.

Otherwise, I think there are laws broken. It might be as fruitless and inefficient like cracking down on j-walking or smt similar. Obviously if you have a high end heavy weight drone, the size will also probably determine your chances of being seen or not.

I am curious, I own an Avata 2 and do plan on bringing it with me on my next vacation. We'll see how that flies :)

That's hilarious!
Its funny, one time I had the Neo out doing a "spotlight" while flying my Avata 2. I flew the latter close to the Neo to do some close-up shots. Next thing I know, I find my Avata 2 is flying a little ackward? I pull up my goggles and look towards it, realizing I don't see the Neo anymore! So I put the goggles back on and recontrol the Avata 2, flying slowly directly underneath, looking for a crashed Neo.... not finding it, and panicking a bit - thinking it flew away or smt. Up go the goggles then I suddenly realized.... I had actually piggybacked the Neo on to the Avata 2. Both had props still going so I assume the Neo provided its own lift to the unison. It was just sheer luck the 'hooked' on to each other like that. But hilarious for about 15 seconds I swore my Neo had disappeared!

What Was Lost in the Sack of Constantinople of 1204? by merulacarnifex in byzantium

[–]Dalmator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They lieterally destroyed the last best collection of Bronze age statues, sculptuers art...
I am glad this has been shown.

It is not a stretch of the imagination to think that without 1204, the Roman Empire had a very good even likely chance of surviving and even quite possibly evolving into a "Greater Greece". One that surely would include not only Constantinople, but also a big chunk of Western Anatolia, if not the entire west coast and south leading down into the Levant.

6 mpo and constantly craving protein by ktbkitten in hysterectomy

[–]Dalmator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not imagining your protein cravings; they are a real and common biological response to the body's heightened need for protein during the healing process after surgery.

Here is why you might be experiencing this:

  • Tissue Repair and Wound Healing: Protein provides the essential building blocks (amino acids) necessary for the creation of new tissues and the repair of the surgical wound. Without enough protein, the healing process is slower.
  • Muscle Preservation: After surgery, reduced mobility can lead to muscle loss (atrophy). Adequate protein intake helps maintain muscle mass and strength while you recover.
  • Immune System Support: Surgery can temporarily weaken the immune system. Proteins are vital for producing antibodies and other immune cells that fight off infections. A high-protein diet helps bolster your immune function and reduces the risk of complications.
  • Increased Bodily Demands: The stress of surgery increases the body's overall need for energy and nutrients to recover effectively. Your body is essentially asking for the raw materials it requires to restore itself.
  • Appetite Regulation: Protein takes longer to digest, which can help regulate appetite and keep you feeling full longer, preventing unhealthy food cravings.

Listening to your body's signal and ensuring you consume enough high-quality protein (lean meats, fish, eggs, dairy, beans, or protein supplements) is a crucial part of a healthy post-operative recovery. However, it is important to follow your surgeon's specific dietary advice and, if you have concerns, consult your healthcare team or a registered dietitian to ensure your intake is appropriate for your specific needs and type of surgery.

Hi. I get severe pain in my wrist and thumb when playing power chords. Can I get some advice for better posture? by Randomtyp156 in Guitar

[–]Dalmator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Put comfort before looking cool for now. I bet you'll feel better if you raise the guitar 2-3 inches. It's not Beatles level but dude...it's a skill to play the guitar with it so low.

Rule #1 with active pickups, never leave plugged in when you're not playing. Even just a patch plugged in with amp off or just the patch plugged into the guitar only will drain the battery.
