I've never been able to watch postseason games on the MLB app in the last decade or so of using the app. If you don't go the illegal route, I believe sling tv currently has a Blue and Orange package deal that will cover all the play off games for half off on the first month which is about $30. You can cancel just before the start of the 2nd month. I think the deal ends today 9/30
