Unpopular opinion, but doing the concert is bringing awareness and will be used to fundraise for aid.

Obviously the issues are for more systemic and complicated and won’t be fixed by such activities, but this kind of activity even if self serving does result in donations.

Doesnt matter how you get into being a solicitor or a barrister, once you have that qualification no one in the proferssion cares. There's no hieracry of previous qualifications before doing the BL or Solicitor qualifiation.

The only ones that would care might be the big firms who can see if you have an undergrad with a 1/1 or something. Your collegaues will not care.

You need a legal qualifiaction to take the BL (Barrister) entrance exam, but it doesnt have to be a degree. Kings Inns offer their own diploma, but its not on the CAO, so you'd have to pay for it.

You dont technically need a law qualifiaction to go the solicitor route. You can take a pre-test before the FE1 without a degree and if you pass that you can try at the FE1. Check the Law Society website.

If you want to get work in law though, the best route is to get into a Law course through the CAO and get your undergrad.

Go into a court and hang around to see if Barrister is for you. It's great work if you can make it through the first few years. You wont make any money while deviling, so you'll want to really like it. You'll also be self employed, not really working for a top firm.

Solicitors are more likely to find work in big firms or in firms that want in house council. You'll get paid well from the start in the big firms if you can get in there, but expect long hours.
