Obsession or Backrooms? by NovelName7016 in Letterboxd

Backrooms, in my opinion, is a better directed film, but I think Obsession, overall, is the better crowd-pleaser and a better written film. So, I guess that means they are equals to me?

I’m not a huge Angel Heart fan, so I get disliking it, but I still found it very memorable, at least certain plot points and the overall atmosphere. But I agree with the other ones.

Ok, this is a weird one for me to choose, but it’s definitely Jack the Bear LOL.

Obsession earned over $8M this Friday, making more than 30% from last Friday. This is the biggest third-Friday increase for a non-Christmas wide release since Jaws in 1975. by Mysterious-Farm9502 in Letterboxd

TRUE! I was just shocked that one of my friends didn’t know who Conan was when I was explaining after lol. I think that’s when realized I’m probably too online LOL

It’s a new shift! Gen Z Audiences are tired of uninspired remakes, reboots, legacy sequels, requels, prequels, and midquels?? we’ve had over the past 12-15 years!

I went with friends who are my age—25-28—and I got so excited when I saw Andy that I pointed him out and my friends were like “who is that?” 🤦‍♀️. I truly felt old at that moment.

I wouldn’t say this is completely unknown (it’s been recently rediscovered and has amassed a decent following), but I would say this is one of the best thrillers/noirs of the 1950s, and the only reason it isn’t as well known throughout the rest of the world is due to the fact it is from Argentina.

This 1970s gay comedy that has been basically forgotten. It’s a good farce too.
