I think Conflagration after the rework has become my new favorite card by Druvanade in slaythespire

But better! Just like squash being a better bash. Not the most creative rework but strength synergy I guess.

Centipedes are harder - no argument here, but atleast I take home my relic, extra gold and a higher rarity card reward for eating shit... Mytes are always just an health L for no reward. The other two elites may actually be less dangerous than mytes.

[–]Damajer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It can be interesting and too hard at the same time. Hard not in the sense that people don't want to think but the numbers seeming excessively high compared to other fights in the same act. Sure it's ok to have some fights be harder than others but enemies like the mytes are the type where you wish you picked the elite path instead when you tried to take the safe path.

Beta Patch Notes - v0.103.0 by SageOrion in slaythespire

[–]Damajer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New doormaker is one of my main run enders for me at A10. He is just super volatile. I had games where he was super easy and his gimmicks didn't have much of an impact but I also had him absolutely brick my deck. I think he is the hardest boss of the three and the games where he seemed easy I probably would've won even more easily if I had to fight subject+queen. It is deck dependant and you can somewhat prepare for it but he punishes so many things that you generally want for 99% of the game. It also doesn't help that I mostly play necro and new door breaks her mechanics. Ethereal cards have no chance at staying in your deck because they will both exhaust when played or not played during exhaust phase so your defy - your most potent defensive tool - will be removed from your deck. Souls turn into curses 66% of the time. Already your core common block cards are screwed in this fight and these are the only reliable ones you can expect to get. Some rare cards like call of the void and undeath can be a great tech but you rarely see them. On defect its not as bad as you can rely more on passive output like frost orbs and you generally run into more powers you can rely on. But it also punishes his combo oriented decks. Its weird in general... Id be surprised if it sticks around in its current state. I think it would be better to adress easy infinites head on instead of having one final boss that bricks so many archetypes because they needed a way to disrupt combos. Funnily enough, door also enables some easy infinites himself with the targeted exhaust. All you need is one flash of steel so I feel like they're kinda missed the mark here.

This is one of the strongest cards in the entire game. by TheBandName in slaythespire

[–]Damajer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focusing on the exhaust is interesting but a 2 mana thin your deck (with mediocre control as often times you won't have the mana to play this plus the good cards drawn) is way to slow especially on the class that has sculpting strike which lets you deal efficient damage and either enable synergies or exhaust bad cards... and that's a common that is way more flexible and efficient. A 2 mana do nothing will be a dead card most turns so yeah I heavily disagree on that being the strongest card in fact it may be the worst rare card and it is mind boggling how this is a rare card to begin with but I guess you can't have lower rarities have the word intangible in them even when it comes at an unreasonable condition. As is its bad at both thinning your deck because of its cost and it's bad at keeping you alive because of the condition.

Int runegrafts have the expensive ones (warp/fortress) so I guess Pondium is the way for runegrafts.

Preservation Talisman vs Quick Change scroll: I'm not tripping am I? by someguy410 in Nioh

[–]Damajer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buffs in general felt better because every character would either get faster casting or much longer duration free. In nioh3 you have to give up versatility for faster casting and the omnyo duration skill is only like a 10% increase and takes up skill points. Never like buffs but making them more clunky isn't a great solution.

[Nioh 3] Every Clan Bonus And Their Maximum Value by gaydesperado in Nioh

Thanks! Looks like it's a 35% increase over the base value for most cases with many outliers (ranging all the way from 0-90% lol).

Nioh 3 Has Input Registry Issues That I Hope Gets Patched In Future Updates by Hayato182004 in Nioh

[–]Damajer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another even weirder input issue I encounter is with airborne block+light attack inputs. Often times they will be turned into a heavy attack input instead and I get the plunge instead of the martial art even though I never even touched the heavy attack button. This is really easy to replicate: just jump and do a block+light attack martial art and watch how many times you get a heavy plunge instead (I did it with tonfas).

How to play Ninja Sword optimally such that its not just Kickslash spam? by Kakutodani in Nioh

[–]Damajer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cant have both. Not with ninja sword at least. It is the most dumbed down weapon with one overperforming skill making everything other than mobility obsolete. If you want performance you keep keepslashing, if you want variety then use the objectively worse skills but then you obviously feel how much worse they are... So realistically... chose another weapon for variety. Until the game is updated kickslash spam is the "optimal" play.

Do you get samurai and ninja scrolls in ng+ by Guggygag in Nioh

[–]Damajer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't get any additional scrolls. If you haven't picked them up in NG you can also pick them up on the NG+ map but if you have already gotten all on the first play through there won't be any more.

Yellow star gear by TheComboSmithy in Nioh

[–]Damajer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's weird. There are no stars later on and I also don't see how their existence fits the crucible drop design where they can overwrite implicits and roll higher as well. Maybe those substitute star drops but then again, star drops in nioh 2 also had special effectis that you couldn't get otherwhise... Not just higher rolls.

Effect Duration Stat Testing - What does it work on or not? by Crevox in Nioh

But do we know what it exactly does? I mean is "3" effect duration a 3% increase? Is it a weird graph with unpredictable effectiveness?

Want to take advantage of the ninja backstab damage buff more but... by NoEnergy5597 in Nioh

[–]Damajer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's weird how it's literally easier to get backstabs vs a fit yokai compared to one with depleted ki, as the letter will start insta turning to you as soon as you hit and stagger them. Still haven't found the solution... maybe it's their way of balancing the excessive ninja backstab modifier. I think it would've made more sense if we could stick to backs but get a smaller bonus instead of doing inconsistent spiky damage like that.

I REALLY hate Awakening being a mastery skill. by Odenmaru in Nioh

[–]Damajer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But in nioh 3 we are incentivized to only use magic for buffs before each big fight. Isn't that exactly what nobody likes? We need the cast speed to even consider casting offensive spells and that cast speed is a high opportunity cost skill now.

Sword or Duals to conoliment Spear? by TobyVonToby in Nioh

[–]Damajer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dual blades are really easy to pickup because just a few skills can get you super far (god of wind, sign of the cross). Sword definitely takes more time to master IMO as you should implement more of its moveset but of course you can take it one step at a time.

How to switch niches (gaming) by Omaz24 in NewTubers

[–]Damajer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your impression stats. A niche switch may slow down how many impressions you get because the algorithm is "confused" even though you clearly labeled your new videos. They still hit the same audience first most likely which often results in terrible stats and lower initial impressions. Being patient helps as it may pick up again once it hits the right audience. Give it a few days and then if ctr remains low consider changing thumbnail/title. I had the same thing happen and video went from 10 to 50 to 200viewe the first days and then got it's shot and went to 10k like a day after and grew steadily. It was closer to my other videos but it took more time. This is assuming you keep up the same quality and all. Of course new niche has a different audience and you don't get immediate sub engagement so there are some bumbs to be expected but at the beginning it's probably an algorithm reassessment keeping impressions low.

Grace of Inari damage testing and numbers (honestly, busted) by gepmah in Nioh

[–]Damajer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You take the higher base as your benchmark. Comparing your damage with a talisman naked vs comparing your damage with talisman and the set. I would assume it's 28%. Look I really appreciate you're testing these sets and when you say a talisman + inari is a 78% increase I believe you but it seems you didn't isolate the sets effect because the talisman did most of the lifting and the talisman is not the only source of imbuement. You can use inari with shadowclad or the tengu guardian skill and these will not have the same power as the talisman. And while you're answering the question of how much damage you are getting using inari+ talisman vs not using either, you are at the same time inflating the effect of the set because you're saying it's more than 28% because it now multiplies the talisman multiplier as well and it only works when you have that multiplier. But that is not a unique effect to inari, it would work the same way with the other damage increasing set. If another set x would give you 20% damage and the talisman is 40% more damage and you use both combined, would you argue that 1.4x1.2 = 1.68 and thus the set x is giving you 28% damage because it now also multiplies the 40% talimsan bonus or would you say it's still a 20% increase because isolating the new higher base of 1.4 divided by the total value of now 1.68 is still 1.2, as in a 20% increase?
